I was so thrilled to see that this new set called "Floral Gem" works perfectly with this week's Inspired By Challenge. I decided to use the photo for my design inspiration to showcase this pretty new set! I hope you'll get a chance to play along this week!
I was inspired by the rich green tones of the foliage.
To begin my design, I did some green ink blending using Distress Oxide Inks. I also spritzed it with water and shimmer spray and set it aside to dry. In the meantime, I heat embossed the main image from the Floral Gem stamp set in gold and used Copic markers to color in the images. The sentiment, which is from the new Sentimental Gems set, is stamped in black. I am in love with all of these new sentiments and I know I will be reaching for them often.
I took some extra time to heat emboss quite a few of the other included images from the set to really give my card some added fullness and depth. I used the coordinating Floral Gems Confetti Cuts to die cut everything.
The focal image is adhered to the new Hex Tag Confetti Cut which really gives it some great definition. Can you tell I'm in love with this tag?
Once all of that was done, I used the Hex Panel Confetti Cut to die cut the ink blended piece. I added a strip of green paper from the Winter Solstice 6 by 6 paper pad to give an extra bit of detail. The finishing touch is a trio of sparkling clear sequins for added sparkle! Thanks for fluttering by!
