Papertrey Ink February Release Countdown Day 4

It's the 4th and final day of the Papertrey Ink February release countdown! I've got two cards to share with you today and first up is the fabulous new Into the Blooms: Clover die paired with the new Border Bling: Lattice die; I'm obsessed!

To begin, I die cut all of the pieces in included in the Into the Blooms: Clover die collection three times and inked them up using an assortment of Distress Oxide inks. The flowers have a bit of assembly required, so I used liquid glue to get them all put together.

I die cut the lattice piece twice and glued them together for dimension and a more sturdy piece.

I used a cloud stencil on the base layer AND on the oval, which is included in the Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die set, and then stamped the sentiment. It is from the new Just Sentiments: Welcome Spring stamp set.

I arranged everything around the sentiment using foam squares and liquid glue.

My second card uses the new Elegant Edges: Spring Flowers die and the new Inside Greetings: Welcome Spring stamp set.

I used the Elegant Edges: Spring Flowers die with both of the "edges" attached, securing them with washi tape. This created the beautiful border pieces that is in the middle. I added some ink to the different flowers and leaves using blender brushes.

there are a few different ways to use this die; without ANY of the actual edge dies, or with just one, or with both, like I did!

Well friends, that concludes the countdown and all of the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow night at 10 pm ET. Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink February Release Countdown Day 3

Who's ready for more Easter/Spring inspiration? I'm sharing two cards with you today for day 3 of the Papertrey Ink February release countdown using some fabulous new products! I had so much fun stamping all of the bits and pieces for this card using the new Happy Bunnies stamp/die set. If you fell in love with the Simply Snowmen set for Christmas, you'll love these bunnies, too! Confession time: I think the bunnies are WAY cuter than the snowmen, but I'm a sucker for all things Easter/Spring!

Once I had all of the pieces stamped for my card, I hummed and hawed about what to do for the background until inspiration struck! I grabbed my Wild Blooms card from yesterday and toyed around with the idea of using the stencils for the bunny backdrop! I think it's just perfect; I chose two make the flowers on this background panel two different colors for variation and interest.

There are two sizes of bunnies, but only one made it onto this card; I ended up using the smaller bunny on my second card I'm sharing today, so make sure to scroll all the way to the end.

The "Happy Easter" sentiment is included in the Happy Bunnies stamp set and I stamped it and then die cut it using the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets.

You can use the bow for either a bow-tie, a bow for the Easter basket, or for the bunny's ear, like I did on this card.

I had so much fun creating this card!

This next card is a bit of a mashup of a bunch of different new stamp sets that have been showcased over the last 3 days. The "new-for-today" stamps/dies are the Larger than Life: Spring die...I die cut it 3 times from Aqua Mist cardstock, glued them together, and then added some Hawaiian Shores ink to the top for an ombre look.

The scalloped pink label at the top is die cut using the new Iconic Easter die set and then I stamped the sentiment panel using Iconic Easter and the new Larger than Life: Spring sentiments stamp set.

I used the leftover bunny from my first card; this is the small size. I also used the cute wash bucket from the new Vase Collection 15 that was showcased on day 1.

I filled it up with grass from the previously released Weave-A-Basket Die, the carrots and smaller flowers from Happy Bunnies, and the larger flower from Vase collection 15. This card was super fun to make as well! Join me tomorrow for the 4th and final day of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink February Release Countdown Day 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink February release countdown! I'm sharing 4 projects today and up first is a fun Easter card using the precious new On the Bunny Trail stamp/die set! This set includes the cute bunny that you can see peeking out of the truck and a bunch of really cute accessories! Three of the cards I made use this fun set, so I will be showing a few different ways to use it!

As you can see, it was created to coordinate with the previously released Patriot Die. Please note: I glued the truck together before I realized that the "Happy Easter" sentiment was made to fit on the door of the truck, so make sure you don't put the handle down too far. I just made it by a sliver! ha ha!

I had so much fun stamping all of the Easter eggs and carrots to fill up the back of the truck! I also used some leftover greenery and a flower from yesterday's Spring card.

The bunny has "paws" that you can add to the outside of the truck to make it appear that he's peeking out!

The background was created by stenciling an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Playful Dots Stencil collection and an assortment of springtime pastel colored inks. I then die cut it using the FABULOUS new Cover Plate: Quilted Die....I'm in love! Everything is layered up onto an Aqua Mist piece that was die cut using the beautiful new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die collection that was showcased yesterday.

When I was young, one of my favorite Easter decorations was the sugar eggs with the hole in the front and you could look in and see some sort of Springtime or Easter scene. I thought I would try something similar, but using the previously released Winter Globes Die

I chose to use a few extra flowers from the Vase Collection 15 card I made yesterday and tucked some of the carrots and the bunny behind the cluster.

The On the Bunny Trail stamp set also comes with the cute crate that I filled up with eggs. The banner fits perfectly on the front for some added detail.

I mentioned yesterday that I experimented quite a bit with the new Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate; with all of that experimenting came a lot of not-quite-perfect panels. ha ha! I decided not to waste one of them and used it for this card. I simply added some darker ink around the edges to camouflage it a bit. The sentiment is from the new Inside Greetings: Welcome Spring stamp set that will be showcased later.

My final card using this new On the Bunny Trail stamp set shows the bunny peeking out of the crate and the "Bunny Trail" sentiment and the arrow. The sentiment fits perfectly onto the crate. I also used one of the other sentiments that are included in this set at the top.

I fell in love with the multi-colored polka dots from my first card paired with the Cover Plate: Quilted die so I used that again for this card.

This card uses the two different sizes of eggs, and please note: there are two sizes of carrots as well that I have shown on the two previous cards, but this one just uses the two larger of the carrots.

My final card for today uses the fabulous new Wild Blooms stencil collection! I'm smitten with these new stencils and know I will be reaching for them again and again. I used them again on a card I'll be sharing tomorrow!

To begin, I used the stencils on the focal panel and then added some ink around the edges. I also used the quilted die over the top for added detail.

I dry embossed the new Cornered: Spring Flowers on each of the 4 corners of the Harvest Gold cardstock. I added some Orange Zest ink around the edges for contrast.

The sentiment is from the Vase Collection 15 stamp set and is die cut with the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die collection.

I added a strip of Spring Moss Bitty Big paper across the middle for some added interest.

Join me tomorrow for day 3 of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink February Release Countdown Day 1

Welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Ink February release countdown! I'm sharing two project today using some beautiful new products! Disclaimer: I either misplaced or was never sent the new Psalm Reflections: February stamp set, so I chose to use another sentiment being released this month and will be showcased in a few days. I am, however, using the beautiful new Psalm Reflections: February die set; it includes these two beautifully detailed panels that could be used for almost any occasion.

My card also features the beautiful new Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate. I chose to use gold foil on Sweet Blush cardstock to keep the warmth that the yellow flowers bring.

It took some experimenting to get it to foil perfectly; I found that 19 seconds on the middle heat setting worked perfectly. Please note: it DID overfoil in the middle, but I didn't mind since I knew I would be covering the middle up with the diecuts.

The sentiment is from the new Larger Than Life: Spring sentiment set that will be showcased in a few days.

I framed the sentiment with flowers and leaves from the Into the Blooms: II die collection and I die cut them from white cardstock and then colored them with Distress Oxide ink.

My second card for today also uses the new Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate paired with the new Vase Collection 15 stamp/die set.

This particular stamp set comes with coordinating sentiments that fit perfectly on the wash bucket.

There are 3 different sentiments that make this set very versatile.

This card also uses the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die collection that I  just love.

Join me tomorrow for day 2 of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!

Beautiful New Baby

Hello and welcome! I was agonizing the other day that I couldn't get these pictures to load, but they seemed to do fine when I tried them by themselves! I made this card clear back in December, took the time to hurry and photograph it, but then I never did anything with it. Since things have been quiet around here, I decided to share it today. I also enjoy having things documented so I can remember different ideas I've tried when I'm in a creative slump!

This card uses a mash-up of products, but I just love how it turned out! To begin, I die cut the floral piece using the Floral Arches Die and then brought it to life using the coordinating Floral Arches Stamps + Stencil Combo. I chose colors that matched the baby outfits that I bought for the gift; I always love a coordinating ensemble! I also used the A2 Arches Die and the Arched Sentiments Stamp Set for a portion of the sentiment and then I finished it off with a retired sentiment from PTI.

I ordered the cute Bundle of Joy-Honey Cuts quite a while ago and was thrilled to use them on this card. I absolutely love how you can customize the little clothes using different pattern paper. I die cut the hanger using metallic gold cardstock.

I actually die cut the romper twice; once from white cardstock and once from the green polka dot paper and then tore off the ruffles from the green portion (very easy to do) and then glued them together. I layered everything onto a Sweet Blush panel that was stamped using the Pinkfresh Sudio Diamond Tiles Background Stamp

I finished it off by adding another sentiment to the inside; I'm sad this particular sentiment and die set is retired, but I'm sure many of you have it in your stash! Thanks for fluttering by!
