G is for Gratitude

This is a slight variation from a project that I created for my workshop last week. I made this little box for the Principal. It is a woman, so that means I get to do fun, girly projects. I filled the box with sour cherry candies, a 3 by 3 card and a gift card to Olive Garden. This is actually just a 2-4-6-8 box, but with 2 1/2 inch measurements instead. I covered the box with the now retired "Rockabilly" DSP. I used the cherry image from Tart and Tangy and punched it out and then layered it.
I am officially done with school related projects. The other 3 that I finished today didn't photograph that well. I just made some slider boxes to hold nuggets. I fancied them up the same way I did for the teachers and then just wrapped them with the ruler twill. Simple, yet cute. Last year I gave out gifts to all of the secretaries, P.E. teachers, Librarian, etc., but this year I simplified. My son actually said to me, "Mom, why do you have lots of things around the house that say "simplify". I said that I needed constant reminding and I actually feel good that I took these words to heart. Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed with things that we think we *need* to do, but really don't. I don't think the secretaries, librarian, etc. will be crying themselves to sleep tonight because they didn't get a gift from the Luncefords this year! LOL!
I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July! My SU! order with all of the new In-Color stuff came today, so hopefully I will have some time to play! I am waiting to do an *official* new catalog order, so the new colors will have to do for now! LOL! Thanks for fluttering by!
