Celebrate...It's your Birthday!

I needed a birthday card FAST....like 5 minutes fast so I got to work to make this easy, yet fun card. I really like how it turned out. I bought some yummy sparkling pink lemonade and lemonade cupcakes at Trader Joe's and thought a sparkly pink card would be the perfect addition. I quickly cut and folded a white card base and got to work with some die cuts and gold embossing powder.
The stamp set and dies are from the "Good Times" collection. I bought the die without the stamp set, but quickly realized that I really liked all of the coordinating sentiments so I had to have that as well. The "celebrate" sentiment was die cut with gold cardstock and then adhered to the card front with liquid glue. The rest of the sentiment was stamped in white ink on a black strip and adhered with dimensionals.
The top portion was stamped in versamark ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I added a few gold sequins for some extra detail, tied a bow of black baker's twine and was DONE! Deadline reached with minimal effort, but maximum results! I love how it turned out! I diecut both words that come with the set; celebrate and wish, but used the wish on the inside. I didn't get a good picture, but it turned out cute! Thanks for fluttering by!

Adventure Awaits & a Bit o' Blog Candy!

I have this habit of cleaning off all of the papers from the front of my fridge whenever I am expecting company. I would prefer it to always be clean, but with 5 kids there is always a reminder or flyer to keep track of. Well...I was going through the pile of things that I recently removed and discovered a graduation announcement that I had forgotten about. Woops! I really like this new set in the Petite Places series, so much so, that when I ordered everything, I inadvertently ordered TWO of the camper/car die sets. That is where one of you lucky readers will gain from my mistake! I would love to send it to one of my fabulous blog readers (U.S. only, sorry). So...simply leave a comment with your favorite destination to have an adventure and I will randomly draw on Saturday to see who is the winner!
I thought these fun new products would  make a fun graduation card. I don't think the recipient is much of a camper, but who can resist all of these tiny goodies? Right? I did put together a birthday set the other day for a friend who had a surprise Smore's birthday party. It was perfect! I just wish I would have had time to photograph everything to share with you.
Everything is really straightforward with this design. I used the Summer Camp pattern paper which works nicely with these dies and stamps. Thanks for fluttering by and I can't wait to see who is the WINNER!
