Reverse Confetti Blog Hop

No automatic alt text available.

Hi Friends! Today is the monthly Reverse Confetti Blog Hop! Today the team is showcasing lots of fun and inspiring cards using the amazing pattern paper that Reverse Confetti has to offer! I was immediately drawn to these two patterns from the Pattern Play 6 by 6 pad. I love the hexagons on the lighter piece and it pairs so nicely with the geometric yellow print! The hexagons immediately made me think of bees, so I decided that The Buzz would be the perfect images for today's card! Don't forget to stop by the rest of the team's blogs to see what they have been up to!

I colored the bees using alcohol markers and then die cut them using the coordinating The Buzz Confetti Cuts. I had the squares, which are from the Stitched Squares confetti cuts, left over from some previous cards and the bees look so cute adhered to them. I love the stitching lines because they match the bees wings!

I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze over the top of the black stripes for some shine. I also stamped the "bee trail" image onto the third square. The layout for this card was basically created from random scraps I have been saving from previous cards. I thought I'd tuck the circle that is embossed using the Polka Panel Confetti Cuts. I was pleased at how nice it looked. I was planning on using four squares, but the circle made a perfect place for me to add a heat embossed sentiment strip.
I added some machine zig zag stitching below the focal panel for some added detail and interest.

As you can see, I used quite a few foam squares to really make all of the layers pop! I mail my cards in clear envelopes and use the butterfly stamp from the post office so all of the layers don't really matter! Thanks for fluttering by!

I especially like your background elements--there are so many, and they are all great with the bees.

Love your card! So much dimension and texture! Bees are my favorite as my family owns an orchard and had bees!🐝
