Countdown to Confetti Day 3

Well friends, it's the 3rd and final day of the Countdown to Confetti and today the team is showcasing a fabulous new set called "Snowflake Magic" that you're sure to fall in love with. I'm showing a few different ways to use it, but I also shared a sneak peek of it the other day on THESE tags!  Don't forget that there will be a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store for one blog commenter and another prize for a Facebook commenter!  Commenting will close at noon CST on November 7th and the winner will be announced at 5 pm on Nov 7th on the RC blog and FB page! Also, you'll definitely want to head to the other designer's blogs for some extra inspiration!

For my first project, I'm using the new Scalloped bags and tags creator to create these sweet little luminaries. I also used the new Snowballs Coverplate on the Let it Snow luminary to create some additional holes to let the light shine through. Disclaimer: I ran to the Dollar Tree to buy some new battery powered tea lights and they were ALL GONE!  I was so upset but realized that they were probably all wiped out for Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns. So...I had to use one that wasn't as bright. But...I put the bright one in each of the single photos so that you can get an idea of what they look like with a brighter light. I die cut the luminary base out of vellum. For the snowflake luminary, I just die cut the snowball coverplate partially up the luminary since I didn't want the design everywhere.

For this luminary, I used the Christmas Candles stamp set that was part of the last release. I knew it would be perfect for a luminary. I made sure to emboss the "glow" image directly in the middle so that the candle inside could make it shine! The other elements are just stamped on paper and then die cut using the Christmas Candles confetti cuts and added to the front using foam squares.

I stamped and embossed  the "rejoice" sentiment that is also part of the Christmas candles set onto a strip of red cardstock and added it to the top using some silver cord. These little luminaries would be perfect to take to the office to create some holiday ambiance in your personal work space, or better yet, give them to the entire staff to make the whole office cozy!!

My next project uses the "Snowflake magic" set again, but I couldn't resist adding the "Snow Bunnies" that were showcased yesterday! They are just so darn cute! I love the way you can mix and match the snowflakes to make them unique!

For this card, I die cut the "Snowballs" coverplate and then did some ink blending using Distress Oxide ink. I spritzed it with Shimmer Spray for some fun sparkle and shine! While that was drying, I stamped and embossed the snowflake pieces on vellum and attached them to the "Let it Snow" portion using glue dots.

I also stamped and colored the bunnies using Copic markers. I always like adding in some extra details using a white gel pen; polka dots here and there. I added some tinsel glitter around the perimeter of the ice rink for some extra detail and shine. I cut a strip of the pink snowflake paper from the Winter Solstice pack and adhered it to the top using foam squares and then added the snowflake.

You can see the shine on the background a little bit better in this photo. It really adds to the "snow" feel and overall theme. This card will be the perfect companion to add to one of the handwarmer gift sets I shared yesterday!

Don't forget to join us again tomorrow for the new release blog hop! There are lots of special guest with us so make sure to stop by! I can't wait to see what everyone has come up with! Thanks for fluttering by!
