The Greetery {Alleluia He is Risen!}

I'm back again today sharing what will, most likely, be the last of the Easter cards for the year. As much as I'd like to keep going, I think I'm running out of time! I just finished prepping dinner though, so I might sneak another crafty session since I'm ahead of the game in that department! ha ha!

I fell in love with Betsy's stenciled cards on colored cardstock from the last release, so I decided to give it a try myself! I absolutely adore the vintage look that it gives! To begin, I stenciled the new Spring Sprays bouquet onto an A2 panel of Aqua Mist cardstock using Distress Oxide inks; because these are pigment inks, they are ideal for stenciling onto colored cardstock.

Once the basic stenciling was done, I stamped the "Alleluia" sentiment in black across the middle using the Amen & Alleluia Stamp Set. I also stamped the "He is Risen" portion in the right corner using the same set. The envelope has another included sentiment to pull it all together.

Another thing that I love about Betsy's stenciled cards is the beautiful added details that she gave each cluster of flowers. I used a green Copic marker to add the details to the foliage and then a pink Copic marker on the pink flower. I also used a white gel pen to add detailing to the white flowers, the leaves, and the other flowers, as well as some dots around the flowers.

I trimmed each panel down to 3 3/4 by 5 and added the scalloped detail using the Ribbon Maker: Petite Scallop die. I layered it all onto an A2 panel of Sweet Blush cardstock using foam squares and then added that to a top-folding A2 cardbase. I spritzed the entire card front using Shimmer Spray. I also added a trio of sparkling clear sequins for added detail. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter surrounded by loved ones! My soul is completely and wonderfully grateful to my Savior for His ultimate sacrifice and His gift of the Atonement! Christ the Lord is Risen Today...Alleluia! Blessings of His love and peace are available to us all! I hope you will all find that peace in your lives! Thanks for fluttering by!
