Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown Day 1

Hello and welcome to the April Papertrey Ink countdown! There are quite a lot of masculine products headed your way, but first I decided to share something floral and feminine because I have quite a bit of masculine projects to share with you today.

My first card for today uses the new Inside Greetings: Celebration 2 and the new Elegant Edges Baroque dies. I think this is one of my favorites in the Elegant Edges family.

I used the Into the Blooms: Gardenia dies as the focal point. I've been itching to pull these beautiful dies out ever since they were released and this is the perfect time! I made a Christmas card with them when they were first released, but I wanted to use them in a more traditional way, and this was the perfect opportunity.

I used the Elegant Edges: Baroque Dies on both ends of a panel of Spring Moss cardstock and then added some ink blending on each end for definition. I added it to a top folding A2 card base using foam squares and then stamped the sentiment using black ink.

I layered the flowers and leaves using foam squares for dimension and then added some glitter.

A few sparkling clear sequins finish off this design!

My first masculine card for today uses the new A Little Rugged stamp set paired with some other new products: Ripped Banners, Chevron Stencils, and Just Sentiments: In Motion

I picked a color combo that I liked and then cut strips to create a custom background.

I added a hint of stenciling on both the focal panel and the background

I added some black paint splatter for added interest.

My second project is for my son's male teacher. I mentioned at the beginning of the school year that none of my kids have ever had a male grade-school teacher, so I was going to need to use my creative juices to make things for him. Fast-forward to almost May and I have failed miserably; instead he hasn't gotten anything much at all! Boo!

So...I took this opportunity to use some of the new products to make him something special for teacher appreciation week that is coming up.

To begin, I die cut the main pocket portion using the In the Pocket Die and Rustic White cardstock. I added some of the corner images from the new A Little Rugged stamp set and some Chevron stenciling.

I made a little Kraft envelope and used a glue dot to add the gift card. The top portion of the insert uses more of the images from the A Little Rugged stamp/die set.

I used stamped images from another new set that will be featured later in the release, but that is where the sports images are from. I also used the alphabet from the Elegant Notes Stationery Kit to die cut the "teacher" letters. I also stamped the sentiment above the letters to tie in the sports theme.

My final card for today uses the new Raising the Bar Hot Foil plate, which will be showcased later in the release and the new Ripped Banners. The sentiments are from the A Little Rugged and Tuck It: Dad. I added some fiber for added interest to the CAS design.

Of course I couldn't resist adding some chevron stenciling!

Join me again tomorrow for day 2 of the countdown; more masculine, AND more feminine! ha ha! Thanks for fluttering by!
