I used both the Print Shop: Fresh Floral Stamp set and Birthday Blooms stamp set, which are part of the sale, to create these two cards. I used additional stamps/dies that are NOT part of the sale, but I will link them anyway in case you are interested.

To begin, I die cut four each of ALL the pieces included in the Print Shop: Fresh Floral die collection and then used my mini MISTI to get them all inked up. Once they were all done, I set them aside to work on the focal panel.

I used the smallest of the Postal Frames Dies to die cut the focal panel. I stamped the postal circles and leaf portion using the Pretty Postmarks Stamp Set in the upper right corner. I love adding these sweet postal images to many of my designs, and I just love how these turned out.

I had some leftover die cut/stamped sentiments from the Birthday Blooms stamp set, so I pulled those out and put them to good use on these two birthday designs. I stamped the other portion of the sentiments directly onto the focal panel using my mini MISTI.

Once that was done, I had fun arranging the foliage and flowers here and there, securing them with foam squares. My colors were inspired by the sweater I was wearing, and then I added in some rich, regal tones to accent the pinks! All of the inks are from Pinkfresh Studio with the exception of Simply Chartreuse from Papertrey Ink that I used on the main portion of foliage. The pink flowers use Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose and Raspberry Bliss ink. The purple flowers are made with Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, and Regal Kiss. I accented the Simply Chartreuse leaves with Olive ink from Pinkfresh Studio.

I stamped two 4 by 5 1/4 inch Kraft panels using the Windowpane Plaid Background Stamp and then added them to the top folding A2 Kraft card bases using foam squares for dimension. The focal panels are also attached using additional foam squares.

A few sparkling clear sequins here and there finish off these simple, floral birthday designs!

I will also include some of my favorite projects using some of the other sale sets! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper Flash Sale {Sending a Colorful Hello}

Sending you all sunshine and rainbows on this December day! I'm sharing two cards made for this week's Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper Flash Sale! My daughter said to me that she didn't want to hurt my feelings, but she's ready for spring! She knows how much I enjoy "celebrating the season", but she said she just wants Easter and spring! ha ha! I guess these two cards are made for all of you who are feeling those same feelings!
This week's Flash Sale will include:

INK: Aqua Mist, Lovely Lady, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Green Parakeet, Lilac Grace, Versamark

PAPER: Lovely Lady, Lilac Grace, Bitty Big: Harvest Gold

I simply adore a pastel rainbow, so that is what started these two designs. Santa brought my daughter the CUTEST pastel rainbow sweater that I'm just smitten with! I heat embossed the rainbow heart arcs and then added the ink over the top.

The letters are stamped out in a wonky pattern using the different pastel rainbow colors.

I chose to stamp the "sunshine and rainbows" and "a colorful Hello" sentiments in black to let them pop and to give the card some definition. These were so fun to make and hopefully brought some sunshine into your  day! Thanks for fluttering by!

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello and welcome! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did! Even though things have been different this year, it is crucial to find the good! I hadn't planned on my first post after Christmas to be a sympathy post, but unfortunately, life has a way of throwing curveballs, as we all know! There was a death in the neighborhood and my sympathy card stash was down to one. The one that was left wasn't the "one" that I wanted to send, so I sat down to create something new. Since I had everything out, I decided to create 3 to have more on hand.

If it wasn't so close to Christmas, I probably would have switched up the colors for each card. I was in a hurry, so it was easier just to do 3 at a time without changing any ink pads. To begin, I stenciled 3 panels with the fabulous Simple Plaid Stencil. I used Slumber Ink for stencil 1 and then used Sapphire Ink for stencil 2. Once the stenciling was done for each of the three panels, I die cut them with my favorite Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles to give the edge a finished detail.

I've been having so much fun using the different sizes of these frames, but for today's card, I used the smallest  size from the Essentials: Scalloped Stitched Rectangles to frame the pretty flowers.

It's no secret how much I love the Modern Layered Floral Stamp Set and have used it on all sorts of different types of cards. I really like it for Sympathy cards, like I've created today. I chose to stamp the leaves in both Olive and Fresh Pear ink and the flowers are stamped in Coral Reef and Passion Fruit, with just a touch of glitter here and there.

I've been dying to use this particular sympathy sentiment from the Feathered Friends 4 Mini Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in gold onto a strip of vellum and wrapped it around the stenciled panel.

I added bows from the Partial Cut Bouqet and a Bow Die Collection to each of the three cards. The thing I like about this particular bow is that if it gets smashed flat in the mailing process, it still looks nice! ha ha! One tip is to add a foam square inside the loops so when it gets pressure added, it has that layer of foam.

Each of the stenciled panels is added to a top folding A2 card base using foam squares. I added a sentiment to the inside as well, but didn't take any photos. I'm so sad to have to need a sympathy card during this time of year. I can't imagine the grief the family must be feeling right now! Life will never be the same for them and Christmas will probably always have that sadness and gloom associated with it! That just breaks my heart! My prayer for them will be that the reminder of the Savior's birth will always be a comfort to them! Thanks for fluttering by!

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

One more Christmas card to share before the big day arrives! I hadn't planned on making any more holiday designs, but I was completely inspired by the violin and piano musical number that was shared at church on Sunday! I wanted to make two cards to give to the performers with a little Christmas goodie!

The Sing a Song of Christmas stamp set was the perfect choice for these two cards! I started by using the Sing a Song of Christmas dies to die cut all of the pieces that I needed for my cards. I used my Mini MISTI to get them all stamped quickly and easily!

I had a leftover frame that was die cut using the Essentials: Fancy Oval Frame die  on my desk, so I used it to frame the beautiful heat embossed sentiment.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a panel of Spring Rain cardstock and then added some Blueberry Sky ink around the edges. I also stamped a border at the top in Blueberry Sky ink as well, using the fabulous Fair Isle Borders stamp set

Once that was done, I had fun adding in the foliage, which I had previously stamped from a different project, and the cute musical details. The foliage is from the beautiful Beautiful Berries: Winter Stamp Set and coordinating Beautiful Berries: Winter die set.

I love these beautiful, yet whimsical images, with the snowflake touches! I added some sequins here and there as well as a healthy dose of Shimmer Spray (added after the photographs).

Each focal panel is layered onto a top folding Enchanted Evening card base using ScorTape for security.

I had such a fun time putting these two cards together and hope the recipients will enjoy their tailor-made cards! I made a goal this year to use EVERY LAST bit of my Christmas creations; tags, bags, gift card holders, cards, etc. I ALMOST reached my goal, but I have two cards left and a handful of tags and gift card holders. I had so much fun packaging up sweets and treats, baskets and bags with all of my creations....it's the best time of the year!  After it was all said and done, I wanted nothing more than to get started all over again! LOL! As I mentioned earlier, I won't be doing my Keeping Christmas series this next year, but I don't think that will stop me from pulling out the Christmas sets here and there! ha ha! Anyway, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all of you! Thanks so much for all of your love and support this year and always! I have so much planned for 2021, so stay tuned! Thanks for fluttering by!

Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink Flash Sale {You have my heart}

I can't believe it's the week of Christmas! I've been wrapping, baking, gift giving, and package delivering this past week, so it's nice to be back here again sharing some fun new Valentine's Day ideas for the Papertrey Ink/Ink to Paper Flash Sale! How is your Christmas prep coming? I hope you're enjoying it and soaking it all in! I sure have been!
Today's sale will include:

INK: Mint Julep, Pale Peony, Harvest Gold, Lilac Grace (don't these make the best conversation hearts?)

CARDSTOCK: Mint Julep, Lilac Grace, Pale Peony

Bitty Big Pattern Paper: Harvest Gold, Lilac Grace, Pale Peony, Mint Julep

Dies: (I'm not sure if ALL of these will be included, but click the link and you can see)

One of my favorite things about Valentine's Day is Conversation hearts! Not to eat, but for decorations and cute things you can find to buy with them printed on them, etc. I love the color combinations and the nostalgia that they bring!

To begin this first design, I used an old Papertrey Ink heart punch to punch out the hearts. I used an assortment of Bitty Big patterned paper to give it some fun variation! I stacked two together and then stitched them to the white cardstock using my sewing machine. I made certain to die cut the panel using the Nesting Basics Pierced Rectangle dies first!

I used the "Be Mine" sentiment on the Banner piece using black ink. I used foam squares to assemble the banner and attach it over the top of the panel. I set that aside and got to work on the background pieces.

I die cut the Lilac Grace piece using the Border Bling: Tiny Hearts die and added it to a top folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I also added a piece of Lilac Grace Bitty Big striped paper to the center and then placed the focal panel on top using foam squares.

One of my favorite sentiments from the Just Sentiments: Valentine set is this cute "You make my heart happy" sentiment, so I stamped it on a tag and added it to the big bow tied around the card.

I added some glitter and sequins here and there for some sparkle and shine!

I used the large "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment on the inside for some added detail.

My second card is similar in feel, but for this one, I just used the "YOU" heart image in place of the stitched hearts for a simpler version. This is one you could mass produce easily, especially if you used a stamp positioning tool, like I did!

Both of these cards were a joy to create as I snuck a little time away from the Christmas prep! We've got a lazy week ahead as we sail into Christmas! I hope you enjoy these last precious moments before the holidays are over! Boo! It truly IS the most wonderful time of the year! Thanks for fluttering by!

Pinkfresh Studio {Skiing By to Say Hi}

Hello friends! I hope you're having a great start to your week! Today is my official "addressing Christmas cards day"! I don't know how long it's been since I dedicated the 15th to be THE day, but it just seems like a good time! That being said, my Brother-in-Law works for the Postal Service and he said things are CRAZY this year, but would we really expect anything less? LOL! I guess if my cards don't arrive in time, so be it!

Maybe I'll have to put on a pair of skis and deliver my cards! ha ha! I'm sharing this sweet little winter scene card over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today and here as well! I used the fabulous new Cloud Builder Stencil to help set the scene for these skiing critters! I've been dreaming of these stitched mountains using the Skiing By die set and it was fun to bring them to life!

I added a few snowflakes to the scene as well as the word hi that are die cut using the Heather Lowercase die set. The skiers and sentiment are from the super sweet Skiing By stamp set and are stamped simply with a hint of color to accent! I had so much fun putting this together! Thanks for fluttering by!
