Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown Day 3

I can't believe it's already day 3 of the countdown! If you haven't guessed by now, I will be sharing one floral card and one masculine card! ha ha! It has been kind of nice having a bit of variety in my posts! Tomorrow is the 4th and final day of the countdown, and then everything will be available for purchase the next day at 10 pm ET.

This card features the new Psalm Reflections: April stamp/die set. I think I mentioned at the beginning of the year that I read a chapter of Psalms everyday, so it's been fun to create with these beautiful verses.

This card also features the new Into the Blooms: Blossoming Beauties; they remind me of the beloved Ruby Rose stamp set, but in die form; I absolutely love them!

To begin this card, I die cut all of the blooms and leaves twice (or more for some) out of white cardstock. The leaves are inked using Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, and Ripe Avocado ink. The flowers are inked using Berry Sorbet for the pink flowers, and Spring Rain and Blueberry sky for the blue flowers.

I heat embossed the sentiment using white detail powder on a panel of Blueberry Sky cardstock and then die cut it using the new coordinating Psalm Reflections: April die. For the background, I used the Dotted Hexagon Stencil collection; Blueberry Sky in on Spring Rain cardstock. I layered everything up on a top folding A2 Spring Rain card base using foam squares and liquid glue.

One more for today; this one uses the new Tuck It: Dad stamp/die set and the fabulous new Raising the Bar Hot Foil Plate. I used it on day 1, but today is the day that it will be showcased! It looks amazing in real life, but with foiling (and the amount of foiling) makes it a bit tricky to capture with a camera!

That being said...I am OBSESSED! It really allows you to add that professional touch to your handmade cards!

The sentiment at the bottom is from the new Larger Than Life: Dad sentiment set, and the #1 Dad portion is included in the Tuck It: Dad stamp set.

I die cut all of the pieces from the Tuck It: Dad stamp set, but only chose a few for my husband's card; once again, I snuck in a darling fishing pole and fish, and the snowboard! ha ha!

Well, this wraps up day 3! join me again tomorrow for the 4th and final day of the release! Thanks for fluttering by!
