Hello and welcome! I'm popping in today sharing a pair of
treat/gift boxes using two of my favorite products from the Fireside Holiday Collection! When I was creating my release projects, I was eager to see if the Winter Crest suite of products would work nicely with the Arch Box Small Die,
but I didn’t get a chance to try it! I decided to remedy that and so for today,
I am sharing two different variations on how cute and well these two products work
together!
To get started, I decided to create the two crests and then
decided which color of cardstock would work best after they were completed. I
stamped the greenery first and then die cut that out using the Winter Crest
die. I added the stenciled berries next and then the frame of the crest. The
final step was to use the included stencil to add a little bit of blue ink to
the center of the frame.I did add some colored pencil details to both the leaves and
the berries on one of the crests, but then realized when I was editing my
photos, I neglected to add detail to the berries on the second crest. I decided
to leave it so you can see the difference it makes by adding a little bit of
extra shading with colored pencils. I will go back and add it later since I
personally like the added detail, but I also think it looks fine without,
especially if you are mass-producing or are in a time crunch!I die cut the banners, stamped them with antique linen
distress oxide ink and then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment using
gathered twigs ink. The NOEL portion is also stamped with the same brown ink.
For the NOEL box, I simply added it with foam squares and then layered the
banner at the bottom. For the second crest, I created a nativity scene by using
the dies included in the Christmastime in the Country Die collection. I cut it
from cream cardstock and then colored the pieces using two brown inks and then
glued everything together using liquid glue. The star was cut using gold
cardstock and then glued as well.I chose to make one box from Kraft cardstock and the other
from Forest cardstock. These boxes are SO easy to cut and assemble! I used the
Arch Box Small die; for one box you will need to die cut it twice and glue them
together! Once the boxes were assembled, I added the crest pieces using foam
squares. I added some BotaniCuts Pinecones to the bottom of one of the crests
for added holiday charm! I had so much fun making these boxes and I am inspired
to just keep making more and more! Ha ha! Thanks for fluttering by!

Kelly, these are beautiful little boxes. I didn't even notice the pencil detail was missing until you mentioned it and then, when I looked it was like; BAM, and it does make a difference, subtle but huge. Whoever gets these will be awestruck.
