Taylored Expressions Wheatfield Dreams Kit

I'm excited to be here today to help introduce a brand-new BEAUTIFUL new kit from Taylored Expressions called Wheatfield Dreams! It is illustrated by one of my amazing and dear friends, Lori Craig! I'm absolutely smitten with this kit and I've had so much fun creating these two cards using the contents!

  • The Wheatfield Dreams kit includes the following:
Wheatfield Dreams Stamp Set + Coordinating Dies
    Burlap Background
Foil It - Wheatfield (12 panels for heat foiling)
    Mini Embossing Powder - Copper
  • As always, our kit will be packaged in a zippered pouch with an exclusive kit pouch sticker, envelopes, and envelope seals to match.

My first card for today features both the sunflower image and the beautiful wheat clusters paired with the Burlap background.  To begin this card, I stamped the images using black ink and then colored them with an assortment of alcohol markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I set them aside and got to work on the background.

I used the ingenious Masking Stencils-Ovals to add the clouds to the inner portion and then used the negative space oval to add the Burlap stamp over the top. I added some heavy ink blending around the edges to give this card a vintage/country feel.

I heat embossed my favorite sentiment from the kit using the included copper embossing powder and wrapped it around the stenciled panel and secured it with tape in the back. Once that was done I was able to add the stamped/colored/die cut images using foam squares.

Of course I HAD to add some glitter to really make these beautiful images shine!

I chose an envelope from the kit and a coordinating seal for this card! My second card uses both the sunflower and wheat images together again because they complement each other so well!

I chose to use the burlap background again, but this time over the entire panel with the sentiment stamped in the right corner. This is my second favorite sentiment; I just love it!

As you can see here, I added some of the copper embossing powder to both the burlap panel as well as the stamped Buffalo Plaid panel. I chose to keep it light to mimic gingham rather than a bold buffalo plaid to really play into the country feeling that I was trying to capture for both cards!

I couldn't resist adding some glitter to this card as well! There's nothing better than seeing the sunlight sparkle and shine through the waving wheat and majestic sunflowers!

This concludes my post for today, but this kit is now available for purchase in the Taylored Expressions Shop! Thanks for fluttering by!
