I'm thrilled to be sharing these cards over on The Greetery Blog for the new T.G.I.F. {The Greetery Inspiration Friday} feature that Betsy has been doing the last couple of weeks! I wanted to give you a little bit of an in-depth look into how I made each of these cards, but I'll send you over to The Greetery Blog to read what my inspiration was for these two designs!
I still can't seem to get over the new Berry Branch Stencil paired with Moonstone Glimmer Paste, so I used it again for this card. I love the beautiful icy feeling it gives to my cards; just perfect based on what my inspiration was. I took a small piece of Lilac Grace Cardstock and added the paste and let it dry. I used the Nordic Frames Dies to die cut both the purple border as well as the larger white border.
I used the Frosty Flakes Stencil for this card, but used a larger panel. I heat embossed the branches and stems using silver powder on this Pine Blossoms image and then went in with regular die ink for the remaining steps. I just love how it turned out and it totally captured the look and feel I was hoping for!
Both of these cards use the "just a note" sentiment from the Pine Blossoms stamp set as well and this one in particular fits perfectly into the circle from the Sentiment Suite Basic Die. The grey piece is also from that same die collection and looks so cute tucked behind the circle.
For this card, I added some white Nuvo drops and glitter here and there to reinforce the icy look. I didn't wait until the drops were dry so that the glitter would adhere to those as well. It's one of my new favorite techniques! A few sparkling clear sequins finish this design off!
I tucked some of the die cut pieces from the Inside & Out Berry Branch Die behind the sentiment circle and added a few Nuvo drops to the berries for added detail. The finishing touch for both cards are some custom stenciled envelopes using the Flappable Stencil using coordinating ink. I just love how these two cards turned out and I can't wait to send them during the icy months to bring a little cheer on a cold, frosty day! Thanks for fluttering by!

Kelly, these cards are absolutely gorgeous! Your attention to detail is amazing and so affective. My granddaughter said they reminded her of “Frozen”, without my saying what your inspiration was.

I love these beautiful cards. The colors are just gorgeous, and I had to order some lilac cardstock. I already have the materials except for the paste, that one's on backorder where I shop. Thank you for your art.
