Papertrey Ink October Release Countdown Day 1

Hello and welcome! It's day 1 of the Papertrey Ink October release countdown! This release is full of beautiful new holiday stamps and dies, but also offering so many amazing basics to add to your collection for use all year long! My first card for today features the new Timeless Ornament Stamp/Die set. I love the details that the die provides and I also love the size; it's large enough to fit on an A2 card but with enough extra room to add a foiled or stamped border and lots of fun details!

My favorite color this season seems to be Ocean Tides because I just keep reaching for it again and again! To begin this card, I cut the ornament from Autumn Rose cardstock and then added some Scarlet Jewel ink around the edges. I cut the middle section from Scarlet Jewel and added it using liquid glue, making sure not to get it on the design; I don't want liquid glue seeping through those detailed portions.

I added some Gold Drip Drops using liquid glue and allowed them to dry. In the meantime, I heat embossed the JOY sentiment, which is included in the Timeless Ornament Stamp Set, using gold powder on Sweet Blush cardstock. I cut it using another die included in the Timeless Ornament collection. I added some Scarlet Jewel ink around the perimeter, mostly what was left on the blender brush from the ornament. I added it to the center of the ornament using foam squares.

I added the metallic top portion of the ornament that was cut from gold cardstock. I also used a bow from the Tag Creations: Modern Gift Die and cut it from gold. The poinsettias are also from this die collection as well as the holly leaves on the left side. The other foliage was leftover from THIS project and I just added those details using foam squares and liquid glue.

For the background, I used the new Holly Berries Stencil Collection on a panel of Ocean Tides cardstock using Stormy Sea and Simply Chartreuse for the leaves and Scarlet Jewel for the berries. Once that was done, I added the foiling using the beautiful new Holly Berries Hot Foil plate and champagne foil. I trimmed it down to measure 4 by 5 1/4 inches and then rounded the corners with a corner rounder punch.

I added some Crystal Stickles to the flowers, leaves, and berries. The entire background is layered onto a top-folding A2 Vintage Cream card base using foam squares.

My next card features the new Silent Night Hot Foil Plate and the new This Is Big Sentiments: Silent Night Stamp set along with the new In Frames: Rectangles. You might remember the ovals that were released last month; such great basics to add to your collection!
To begin this card, I used the Silent Night Hot Foil Plate on a piece of Rustic White cardstock and titanium foil. I trimmed it down to measure 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I cut the frame from Ocean Tides cardstock (surprise, surprise) and added it to the foiled background using foam squares.
All of the berries, foliage, and poinsettias are from the Tag Creations: Modern Gift Die (linked on my first card). I had fun layering the snowflakes using the Layered Snowflakes Dies. I cut them from white and then added Aqua Mist and Stormy Sea ink to them to give them a hint of color. I did the same thing for the holly leaves with some additional ink splatter.

The sentiment, which is from the new This is Big Sentiments: Silent Night, is heat embossed in silver on a strip of Scarlet Jewel ink. I tucked it with the lower snowflake/foliage cluster using both liquid glue and foams squares.

I added the Snow Flock as per the instructions on the package. Please note: I did the flocking before I added the poinsettias and the sentiments.  The entire panel is adhered to a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I added some Crystal Stickles to the ends of the snowflakes, the berries, and poinsettias to finish it off! Thanks for fluttering by!
