Papertrey Ink April Release Day 2

I have a big post for you today to show you the fun new products being showcased for Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! Up first is a fun and whimsical card using the new Into the Blooms: Mushrooms dies! I have three cards to share with you using these beautiful new dies!
Some of the other dies might look familiar to you; I created this scene using the previously released Pumpkin House dies! I had so much fun turning these toadstools into little houses and using some of the other fun accent dies!

To begin, I die cut al of the pieces using the Into the Blooms: Mushrooms dies and then colored them using distress oxide inks and finger daubers. I glued them together with liquid glue and foam squares. I added some  details using colored pencils on the larger red toadstool and the two tiny toadstools on the left hand side of the scene.

I used the fence, windows, ladder, star, and moon dies from the Pumpkin House collection to bring the scene to life. I also used flowers from the Into the Blooms: Spring Nest dies to add to the scene and reinforce the theme of the sentiment:I chose to use one from the Garden Blessings stamp set!

For the background I used the Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate on a panel of Caribbean cardstock. I am completely out of good pieces of Aqua Mist cardstock, with the exception of the 2 full sheets I have left in an assortment pack I haven't opened! I am using that only in case of an emergency! ha ha!

I used the Watercolor Wonderful Stencils on a panel of white cardstock and then die cut it using the largest oval included in the Love to Layer: Oval die collection. I layered it over the top of the foiled panel and then created the scene using foam squares and liquid glue. I added it to a top-folding A2 cardbase and then added some glitter for sparkle and shine!

My  next card is CAS and much less whimsical than the first! ha ha! That being said, I love this card for its simplicity and natural charm! This card also features a sentiment from the new Sapling Frame stamp/die set being showcased today.

I only used four of the mushrooms  and colored them all the same for uniformity. I did add some colored pencil detail to these mushrooms as well.

I used the Watercolor Wonderful Stencil collection again for the background of this card; I used Spring Moss and Simply Chartreuse on a Rustic White panel of cardstock. I also added a frame that was die cut using the Border Bling: Skinny Embossed Frame and adhered it using liquid glue.

I used the SU! Color Spritzing tool to add the brown splatter.

I tucked the greenery here and there until I was satisfied with the arrangement and then layered the mushrooms over the top.

My third and final card using the Into the Blooms: Mushroom dies was inspired by a scene I saw on Pinterest. I loved the stark black background and a pop of mushrooms!

I absolutely love the Exquisite Leaf Frame Hot Foil Plate and have been using it quite a bit lately. It is the perfect choice to frame a scene, like I have done here.

I used another sentiment from the Garden Blessings stamp set, but this time I heat embossed it in gold to accent the foiling. I die cut it using the Just Tags dies and added it using foam squares.

I layered it onto a top-folding A2 card base using foam squares for dimension.

My final card for today uses the new Pro Stamper's Box: April collection. This collection includes a ton of stencils; I chose to use a leafy one with Fresh Snow ink and Ranger Texture Paste Opaque Matte.

It also includes two large word dies; I used the large Thank You and die cut it from Mirror Gold cardstock and a few times from white so that I could glue them together for a sturdy piece.

I white leaf portions are dies that are included in the kit as well; they are LARGE and there are so many fun varieties!

I can't seem to stop with the flowers from the Sweet Celebration dies; I have a project I will be sharing soon that uses these flowers and these are some of the leftovers along with the colored leaves.

This concludes my big post for the week! Join me again tomorrow for day 3 of the countdown; there will be more mushrooms (wink)! Thanks for fluttering by!
