I mentioned earlier that I had a few more graduation cards to share! These cards use the colors of the local high school. I had mentioned in that previous post that I ran out of green cardstock that matches the school colors, so you can see I have used bits and pieces of different colors of cardstock to complete the project. Pinefeather cardstock, which is the cardstock I used for the card on the right is out of stock so I can't replenish, and the other card uses Garden Green from SU! that I've been hoarding for 100 years and I think is discontinued!
When you're used to always having enough of everything, it really startled me to not have what I needed! ha ha! I ordered a green from The Stamp Market that is probably something of a shade in between the two I have used here.
I stamped something simple on the inside using the Bright Future stamp set and the hat is from the retired For the Graduate stamp set. I figured many of you probably have that stamp set in your stash, or maybe something similar.
I guess I'm getting old, because I really like the style of this retired stamp set! ha ha!
I heat embossed the main sentiment using silver powder on vellum.
I made four cards in total, but there are two of each!
In the graduation post I made at the end of May, I mentioned that because of my green paper shortage, I decided to make black gowns with pops of green! I think it turned out great! Thanks for fluttering by!
