Ink to Paper September Release Day 2

It's day 2 of the Ink to Paper September release countdown! Thanks for your sweet comments on yesterday's post! Today, the team is showcasing even more holiday goodness that you're sure to fall in love with! I had a ball creating all of the cards I'm showing today and up first is this duo featuring a few new stamps; Season of Joy and Deco Notes!

These cards turned out better than I could have imagined thanks to lots of gold embossing powder, great fonts, and beautiful images! These cards would be PERFECT to mass produce to send out this year! I used my mini MISTI and it made putting these together a breeze!

To begin both of these cards, I stamped the background image, which is from the new Deco Notes stamp set, in Versarmark ink and then heat embossed them using gold powder. Once that was done, I die cut the letters which are part of the Seasons of Joy die collection. They are stacked twice for durability and glued together with liquid glue.

One of the things I really like about the new Seasons of Joy stamp set is that you can do multi step stamping on the wreath, or if you want to simplify things, you can just use the wreath image that is one solid image. I chose to do the multi step stamping because I had the time and I really wanted to see this wreath come alive with the different colors! I glued two of the die cuts together to really make the wreath sturdy since it has a lot on top of it.

The "to the world, the Lord is come" sentiment is heat embossed in gold as well. There is nothing better than gold embossing at Christmas time...am I right? It really helps elevate your designs and allow them to look a little bit more professional without much effort!

Once I had all of the elements finished, I got to work assembling the cards. I used foam squares to pop up the wreath in the center of the card. I added the letters with additional foam squares. The sentiment strip is actually curved around the top and secured to the back of the main panel using clear tape. Once that was done, I added them to the card bases using ScorTape.

Up next is a card using the Deco Notes stamp set paired with some of the die cuts from the Tag Creations: Modern Gift that I shared yesterday. This is another design that would be easy to mass produce. The stamp set comes with a bunch of different sentiments to make any occasion special.

The background is embossed in gold and the sentiment is stamped in black and then layered onto a black strip to give it some definition.

The holly leaves are die cut from specialty gold paper and then I used dew drops for the actual berries for a sophisticated look to match the feel of the card.

I added the main panel to a standard A2 card black card base using ScorTape.

I can't wait to make a whole bunch of all-occasion cards using this fun set!
My final design for today uses many of the same elements I used on the first set of cards, but rather than use the wreath in the center of the O, I used one of the snowflakes from the Splendid Snowflakes set. I also decided to only stamp the deco portion along the bottom to give me room to add the extra sentiment at the top.

I also opted for a blue background to really give it a cool, snowy feeling as well! To begin, I stamped the Deco Note portion in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with gold powder onto a panel of Blueberry Sky cardstock. I also heat embossed the "tidings of" portion of the sentiment as well. I did some inkblending around the edges using Blueberry Ink and a blender brush. I also stamped some additional snowflakes around the top perimeter using the same ink.
The snowflake is die cut and embossed and added to the center of the card using foam squares. The letters are added using foam squares as well.

The "wishing you great" sentiment is heat embossed in gold onto a piece of Enchanted Evening cardstock. I also added some sparkling gems here and there for a frosty, snowy feel and some extra sparkle!

I hope you've enjoyed today's post! I'll be back again tomorrow for day 3! Thanks for fluttering by!
