Homemade for YOU!

My kids are banana fiends and I generally have a bunch or two on hand because they devour them so quickly. We drove from Utah to Anaheim last week for our Spring Break Disneyland vacation. I thought we'd most likely be stopped at the produce gate so I didn't bring any fruit on the drive. Well, they didn't stop us and I had gobs of bananas left at home. When we got back they were beautifully brown and ready for banana bread! My newest favorite  is Buttermilk Banana Blueberry bread. It is so moist and delicious! I do all of my grocery shopping online, so I did a quick order after we got home and added some blueberries and buttermilk to the list. Today was rainy and snowy, just perfect for a morning of baking! I ended up having enough bananas to make 2 batches so I ended up with 2 regular sized loaves and 4 mini loaves.
While the loaves were cooling, I got to work creating some tags to go on the packaging for the bread. This, my friends, is why I love papercrafting! Presentation for gift giving is one of my favorites! Will these tags be thrown away? Absolutely, they will, but do I care? Absolutely not! These tags were a cinch to make and they really do jazz up the bread!

I chose to go with a yellow and blue color scheme because of the blueberries and bananas. I used one of my go-to food packaging sets called "Everyday Treats" which appears to have been retired! Boo Hoo!

You can see the delicious loaves here! Don't be frightened by my beloved Pampered Chef mini loaf pan. It is one of their signature stones and has been seasoned! LOL! It does look haunted!

I attached the ribbon around the cello bags using tape and then added the labels using foam squares. I quickly delivered these to a few friends around the neighborhood and kept one loaf for my family! Thanks for fluttering by!

Your banana blueberry loafs look yummy! I love damn delicious.net, have always had great success with her recipes. Your presentation and packaging is always beautiful. Don't be so sure that the tags will be thrown away. My adult sons still keep tags , gift cards, etc. tucked away saying they just can't throw them away!
