Happy Birthday!

Today is my husband's birthday. I hadn't made a card yet, so I used today's sketch challenge over at SCS. It worked out perfectly for the set I wanted to use. I bought "Father Knows Best" from Papertrey Ink last month, but hadn't used it yet. I knew I would be using it for Father's Day, but since it includes a Happy Birthday sentiment, I decided to use it for my husband's birthday card as well. Now....I have a confession to make....and it is horrible. I never really put too much work into my husband's cards because I know they are going to be thrown away. It is really hard for me to spend a lot of time on them because I am the one who actually does the "throwing away". I know that countless numbers of my cards have been thrown away by the recipients. However, I never know about it! LOL! It is something different when I am the one doing it! So...with that being said...Here is his simple card! Thanks for fluttering by!

I keep the cards for my husband! He admires them for a bit and then I put them in my sample box. WHen teh set is retired I move it to my "cards to keep" box!
....why am I still organizing my office after a month? LOL!

Yikes! I thought EVERYONE keeps the cards they receive...not! lol. But I know my Mom keeps hers though - she even frames 'em! And she calls me to describe the frame lol!! Gotta love mom! Well this is a great card and HB to your husband.

Oh Kelly, don't throw it away you silly bean! You know...you could lop off the front and re-use it, oh the horror! Ü

I know what you mean! I was just thinking about that as father's day is approaching. My husband usually leaves the card lying around somewhere and I will come by after a week or two and just throw it away. Breaks my heart! Your card is beautiful though! Just try to think about how much happiness it will bring him!

LOL!! I know what you mean, I don't put a lot of effort into a card if I know the recipient will not truly appreciate it!! I agree with the others- cut off the front and keep it, it is gorgeous!

Yes! I agree cut off the front and re-use it!!!! I know what you mean. I spent Monday night making my first card using my "sushi bowl party" set and it was to be a card for a nephew's bday this SAturday. But when I got it all done I decided not to give it to him because the flashes of images running through my head was of him tearing open the envelope which sometimes tears the card just to get to the inside prize!!! And the card never gets really looked at or read!!! So I went and bought him a cheap card from Walmart Tues. and I am keeping the card for someone who will appreciate it more! Have a Great day!
