Ink to Paper February Release Countdown Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the Ink to Paper February release countdown! I'm sharing two projects with you today and up first is a feminine card using the new Framed in Florals stamp/die set! It comes with two beautiful floral images that I've used on this card as well as two sentiments; thank you and with love.

I die cut both of the floral images and stamped the outline portion using black ink. I left the images in my MISTI so that I could go back over the outline, but this time using Versamark ink so I could heat emboss the gold after I was done coloring.

Now, this set DOES come with solid images so you don't need to color it, but I wanted to use Copic markers for today's card. I just love how it looks with the gold embossing!

I really wanted a frilly floral card, so I used the On the Border: Floral Bliss die to create the pink portion on the top and bottom. I die cut them from Lovely Lady cardstock, which is one of the neglected colors from my stash, but it worked perfectly with the Copic coloring.

I added some black paint splatter making sure to cover up the parts of the card that I didn't want to get splatter on them. 

My second and final card for today uses the latest installment in the Feathered Friends series! We've made it all the way up to number 8 and this little guy/gal is just the sweetest! Our tree out front has matured to where it started producing  berries this fall and the birds have been flocking to that tree all winter so I've been having fun watching them. I can envision this little birdie enjoying a winter treat!

The background is dry embossed with the new Cover Plate: Vines for a subtle detail and added texture.

I used the previously released Just Sentiments: Get Well stamp set for the greeting!

I really like that this particular Feathered Friends set has a little branch for the bird to attach its feet to.

Ink to Paper February Release Countdown Day 2

Welcome to day 2 of the Ink to Paper February release countdown! I've got two projects to share with you today, the first one using the new Lush Blooms stamp set paired with the new Inside Greetings: Blooms stamp set that I shared a sneak peek of yesterday!

As you can see, this set features this gorgeous big bloom that will be a show-stopper on your projects! I chose to use a single bloom to put inside the previously released Clearly In the Vase stmaps/dies.

The sentiments, which are also from the Lush Blooms stamp set, are added inside the vase as well as over the top for a fun look.

I loved the tone-on-t0ne blue background I created last month on one of my cake cards, so I decided to do something similar on this card.

I love the yellow and blue with the pop of green!

I love that the "Just Because" portion of the sentiments has a coordinating die to make a design like this possible.

Here's that fabulous sentiment again. Don't you just love it? It goes so well for so many occasions!

My next project uses some really fun new projects! The Pop-Up Envelope and Pop Up Florals are so fun to create with!

The pink and yellow flowers are on die cut paper accordion pieces to make them spring off of the card. They will be flat inside the envelope, but when it is opened, they will spring to life!

You can see how the envelope flaps open and the spring-y flowers!

I stamped the "sending you flowers" sentiment from the new Just Sentiments: Blooms on the flower card and then the "hello" sentiment, which is from the Pop Up Florals stamp set, as a little tag for the envelope!

Ink to Paper February Release Countdown Day 1

Hello and welcome! It's day 1 of the Ink to Paper February release countdown! This month is blooming with a TON of fabulous new floral sets, coordinating sentiments, bunnies, rainbows, and MORE!  I have a lot to share today using a fun new Spring/Easter set called "Sweet Hoppiness" paired with the new Rainbow Arches die collection! I just used the greenery portion of the dies paired with this sweet bunny for a fun springtime card!

The "sending love" sentiment is from another new set being showcased today called "Tiny Blooms" and I'll be sharing another card in today's post using more of this fun set!

The flowers and greenery used at the bottom of the arch are also from the Sweet Hoppiness stamp set. These are such sweet images that will help you create some fabulous spring projects!

I glued two of the foliage arches together for a sturdy piece and then added the green inks.

I love adding glittery touches along with gems for some sparkle!

This is what the Rainbow Arches dies look like all together. I also added some of the new Tiny Blooms flowers here and there for some colorful details.

I'm also sharing a sneak peek of another new set being showcased tomorrow, but I just couldn't resist using it on this card. It's the Just Sentiments: Blooms stamp set and it worked so perfectly to tuck under the rainbow arch!

I added gold drops to the centers of three of the flowers for some added detail and interest.

I used ANOTHER new set, but it's not being showcased a little later, too! It just worked so well with the sentiment on the front. It is from the Inside Greetings: Bloom stamp set.

I added some simple ink blending in blue to the top and green at the bottom to give the illusion/impression of sky and grass.

Up next is a bold design using the Tiny Blooms stamp set. I chose Primary colors, with the addition of orange and green, for a bright and playful look.

I heat embossed the sentiment, which is ALSO from the Just Sentiments: Bloom stamp set, onto vellum to wrap around the card front. I also stamped the "Grow your own way" sentiment at the bottom to reinforce the message.

I used my old SU! Stampin' Write markers to selectively ink up the corner images to continue the look from the center circle.

I used the older Nifty Plaid background stamp stamped in Pure Poppy for a tone on tone look.

I added quite a few gold drops here and there for added detail and shine.

My last project for today consists of these three boxes using the new Sweet Hoppiness stamp set. This little bunny is just the cutest and I always love a punny sentiment!

I chose to make three different boxes for either my boys' teachers, OR a few ladies from church. When I start creating this early for certain holidays, I'm never quite sure who will get what! ha ha!

This bunny image has a solid portion as well as an outline so you can mix and match how you like.

And of course I had to use some of the cute flowers and foliage!

Pinkfresh Studio {Hoping Life is Good}

Happy Monday and happy Presidents' Day to my U.S. friends and Happy Family Day and Flag Day of Canada to my Canadian friends!  I'm over on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog today sharing this floral hope card and wanted to share it here as well. The new release is SO amazing and I've been itching to use the new Choose Hope stamp set so that it was I chose to use for today's card. The back of the packaging showed it in tones of blue, so I used that as the jumping point of my design!

I die cut two floral clusters using the Choose Hope Die making certain to keep both the die and the paper is was cut from. I placed the paper it was cut from into my MISTI and then carefully lined up the image in the negative space for perfect alignment. I stamped it in black ink and then used the Choose Hope Layering Stencils to add the color. I kept the same paper the die cut was cut from so I could use it for the stenciling as well. I do want to note, however, that the stencils do have guides on them in the corners so you can simply use an A2 size piece of paper and do all of the stenciling first, and then die cut and stamp/or stamp and die cut. I chose to do it this way for precise alignment using the die cut as a guide for both the stamping and stenciling. You can choose whichever steps you prefer in whatever order you prefer to get the best results!

I set the two floral clusters aside and got to work on the other design elements. Originally I had planned on using a plain white background, but I love adding texture, so I opted to use the beautiful Essentials: Stitches Die for the background with the Stitched Rectangles die used on the perimeter for a finished edge. 

I layered a Essentials; Stitched Scallop Rectangles over the top of the background using foam squares. I stamped the "Hoping" portion of the sentiment onto a Basic Label Frame with the heat embossed "life is good" portion added underneath. As I mentioned earlier, I had planned on using a plain piece of white cardstock for the background, so I had to get creative with the "hoping" portion of the sentiment. I tried stamping directly onto the stitched panel, but ended up with the result I was thinking would happen. Plan B worked out nicely, so crisis averted!

Once the sentiment were in place, I was able to add the floral clusters using foam squares. I squared them off using my paper trimmer. You could probably get away with using only one floral cluster if you plan it out in advance. I wanted to be able to lay the clusters exactly as I wanted without having to sacrifice anything, so I was happy I made two. I decided to add a little bit of extra detail by tucking in a few of the Curvy Leaves around the floral clusters.

The finishing touch, as always (ha ha!), is a few jewels in coordinating colors! I layered the entire panel onto a top folding white A2 card base using additional foam squares. I had a lot of fun creating this blue toned floral card! Thanks for fluttering by!

I created a quick and easy springtime scene using both the bunnies and the eggs using my favorite Easter pastel colors!

I stamped the bunnies in black ink onto the pattern paper for a an easy, festive look! The eggs are stamped and then I added the cute bows over the top using foam squares.

I absolutely love the bow die cut that is included in the die collection and they make the cutest bowties or hair bows for the cute bunnies!

I added the bunnies and eggs and slid them down into the Easter grass just a little bit to ground them so they weren't hovering over the grass! ha ha!

The sentiment, which is included in the Best Bunnies set, is stamped in the middle using black ink for contrast against the pastel colors.
