SugarPea Designs Release Day 3 {Fabulous and always in style}

It's Day 3 of the Sugar Pea Designs release week and today the team is sharing even more fun new products!

I couldn't resist pairing up the Simply Fabulous stamp set and coordinating Fabulous Sugar Cut with the Londonscape Sugar Cut that we shared yesterday. I think it looks so amazing die cut out of glitter cardstock.

To begin, I got to work blending a panel of cardstock using a few Distress Oxide inks. After I was done, I used the Postage Stamp SugarCut because it is amazing and I just can't seem to get enough of it! Die cutting your piece after you blend it works well if you don't like getting any harsh lines on the edges.

I die cut the "fabulous" word using the new Fabulous SugarCut four times. I glued them together using liquid glue. Once that was done, I added some Versamarker to the tips of the letters and embossed them with gold powder. I used this technique a lot with the last release and I can't seem to stop! LOL!

The "and always in style" comes from the new Simply Fabulous stamp set that coordinates with the die. There are so many fabulous (LOL!) phrase combinations you will find yourself reaching for it again and again.
Up next is the Reading Friends stamp set. I chose to combine this larger image with a few different die cuts to give it some extra detail and interest. I also thought the heart from the Postage Stamp SugarCut would look great for some spotlight stamping. It also works so well with the sentiment at the top. I realize it is a little hard to read in these pictures, but it says: True Friends are never apart, maybe in distance, but never in heart.

To begin, I stamped the image using black ink and then I die cut it using the Card Front Element Builder Sugar Cuts. If you don't have these, I definitely suggest getting them...I use them all the time! After that was done, I colored the image and then I was able to die cut the heart in the middle of these two friends. I just used foam squares to pop it up.

The sentiments are heat embossed in gold onto green paper. Everything is layered up onto a white A2 card base with a bit of Striped pattern paper

I hope you've enjoyed today's sneak peeks!

Baskets of Birthday Wishes and a little giveaway!

Thanks for stopping by today...I have a couple of Spring inspired cards to share with you! I've had the idea for these cards in my head for a while and I sat down after church on Sunday to finally put my idea onto paper. I'd been watching "Little Women" on Netflix the night before, so I asked my daughter if she wanted to watch it with me while I worked on these cards. She begrudgingly did, but I could tell she was captivated from the very start and ended up LOVING it. I knew she would! Also, I seemed to have bought a few doubles of some things in the last few weeks and I wanted to make my mistake your good fortune! Scroll to the bottom of the post to see the photo of the giveaway items and a few details.

To begin, I got to work blending two 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inch panels of smooth Bristol paper using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I also added a good spritzing of Shimmer Spray for some added shine and to get some oxidation happening here and there. While those were drying, I got to work die cutting 4 of the Basket Die Coverplate. I glued two together for each card. I like doing this for some added dimension and stability. I didn't add it to the panel at this time because I wanted to heat emboss the two sentiments first. I needed to wait until the blended panels were completely dry so I didn't get any powder sticking places it shouldn't. I used my MISTI stamping tool for proper alignment. I just set the basket pieces on top really quickly for placement, but them moved them for the actual stamping.

The sentiments are from one of my all-time favorite sets called Graceful Greetings. Once they were embossed, I then added the basket pieces using liquid glue. Doing it at this time also helped with the slight warping that happens while heat embossing. It just helped get everything smooth again.

While the glue was drying, I got to work creating my garden of flowers using one of my new favorites; Farmers Market Florals. I stamped quite an army of flowers and leaves and then used the coordinating Farmer's Market Florals Dies

I placed them here and there using foam squares and added a few to the basket handle as well. I added some crytal glaze drops to the leaves and flowers on the "Hello" card.

I added a few rhinestone embellishments on this card. I had so much fun working on these and it was such a fun time watching Little Women with my daughter!
I'm giving these few things away since  I accidentally bought duplicates. Leave me a comment on the crafty accessory you CAN'T live without and I'll draw a name on Friday at noon. I'll announce the winner on Saturday.

SugarPea Designs Release Day 2 {My favorite place}

Welcome to day 2 of the SugarPea Designs release week! Today the team is showcasing some AMAZING new products that I am in LOVE with!

I paired up the new Parisscape SugarCut with the incredibly cute Chic Wishes for a match made in heaven! I also used the Diagonal Striped Coverplate which was released earlier, but I never actually used it until now! I've used it on another sample coming up in the next few days, but in an unexpected way, so stay tuned!

For my design, I decided to use the Parisscape in a somewhat unexpected way as well. It is meant to be used as a skyline, but I thought it would look cool to create a layered, dimensional, shadow effect and I LOVE the results! It turned out exactly as I was envisioning it!

I chose black, a medium gray, and a light gray to create the depth and shadow. Each piece is separated by a layer of foam squares. The best part? It layers PERFECTLY inside the Postage Stamp SugarCut that was shared yesterday! I love it when things like that work out! I added a generous spritz of Shimmer Spray to let the City of Lights really shine!

I blended some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink onto the Postage Stamp piece creating an Ombre effect. I also stamped the stars that are included in the Chic Wishes set at full strength. The sentiment is stamped in black.

I die cut the Diagonal Stripe Coverplate out of gray paper and adhered it to an A2 white card base and then layered the postage stamp die cut onto that.

I added a few sequins around the Eiffel tower for some added sparkle. You can really see the shine of the Shimmer Spray in this photo.

Thanks for fluttering by! Join us tomorrow for Day 3 of the festivities!

Tuesday Ideas {It's your day...Celebrate!!}

Hello! I'm over on the Precious Remembrance Shop Blog today sharing this fun birthday card! I don't use pattern paper as much as I used to, but I love how well all of the different patterns work together to create this fun and festive birthday design!

You can read all about how I made my card over on the Precious Remembrance Shop Blog, but I do want to share a few tid bits here. I used the Oh So Fun stamp set combined with the Sketchy Alphabet.

I added a few Rose Quartz buttons for some added detail.

Something I like to do is add Crystal Glaze over the top of bubbly or open alphabet stamps to create the illusion of an epoxy sticker. The best part of doing this with stamps is that you never run out and you ALWAYS have the letters you need! Thanks for fluttering by!

Merry Monday #286 Joy to the World!

****If you're here for either my Reverse Confetti SFYTT post or my SugarPea Designs release post, please scroll down! It's a busy day around here! LOL!****
Welcome to this week's Merry Monday Christmas Challenge! I debated on whether I should participate this week since I have two other posts today and I didn't want to bombard anyone! I'm glad I decided to make a card, because I had so much fun with today's design!

Sue has asked us to create a card with our favorite Christmas verse. Mine isn't exactly a verse, but rather a statement. "Joy to the World...the Lord has come!"...I just love this and it is what Christmas is all about! I'm grateful for the birth of my Savior and He brings me JOY!!!

I played around with this set quite a bit last year and I feel like  I have just touched the tip of the iceberg with all of the possibilities. You can see a few of my projects I made with it HERE and HERE. As I did some brainstorming trying to decide which direction to head, I remembered these fabulous pine pipe cleaners from Hobby Lobby. I haven't used them since I made THESE tags and I just love them! Working on those Christmas projects was really the push that I needed to get back into blogging on a regular basis.

To begin, I got out my Jpy Bundle and got to work die cutting the "JOY" word 5 times out of Kraft cardsstock and glued them together using liquid glue. Once that was done, I placed the stacked pieces BACK into the die and stuck a piece of washi tape to hold them in place as I removed them. I did this so the thin "JOY" stamp would line up properly since it is all connected, rather than individual letters. I stamped it in Versamark ink and then heat embossed them using Antique Gold embossing powder. I also heat embossed the "to the world" portion onto a strip of Kraft cardstock.

For the background, I heat embossed the snowflake image onto a piece of Stamper's Select White Cardstock. I also added some Bright Gold Nuvo Drops to the centers of the snowflakes. I wrapped the pine pipe cleaner around a bottle of Nuvo drops for a nice, small circle that would fit nicely around the "O". I used hot glue to adhere the ends together. I shaped it around the "O", which is more of an oval and then hot glued it to the card. The "to the world" sentiment strip is added using foam squares. I toyed around with the idea of adding a splash of red here and there, but in the end I really liked the neutral palette. Thanks for fluttering by!

SugarPea Designs Release Day 1 -The world needs Amore you!

***If you're looking for my Reverse Confetti SFYTT post, please scroll down****
Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the SugarPea Designs release! I am head over heels in love with so many of the new products being released and showcased this week! Today we are sharing Sneak Peeks of the new sets called Oh La La, Parisian Holiday and the fabulous Postage Stamp SugarCuts
I combined the new Postage SugarCuts and Parisian Holiday for my card today! I went for a traditional Blue, White, and Red color combination in honor of the French Flag! You will MOST DEFINITELY want to head to the rest of the DT blogs for lots of inspiration! I love how we all think so differently and sometimes so similarly! It is so fun!

I colored the sweet French girl, the Yorkie, and her little luggage piece using Copic markers. I am in LOVE with the style of each sentiment! So, so cute! You can find the coordinating die cuts HERE

I did some ink blending behind the die cut heart to add some warmth. I just love how the heart helps bring in the "amore" theme a little better, too!

I also paired these new products with the previously released, but ALWAYS useful, Card Front Element Builder
