Ink to Paper July Release Countdown Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the Ink to Paper July release countdown! I have lots to share with you today, so enjoy! First up is one of my favorite new stamp/die sets called Floral Breeze. It also has a companion die set called Floral Breeze Accessories, which is where the grass and swing come from!

The heat embossed sentiment is from another new set called Just Sentiments: Just Because . It has so many different sentiments to make your card truly unique! I chose the "thoughts of you make me smile" sentiment for this card. I love how this particular font looks embossed in gold.

The Floral Breeze stamp set comes with the tree trunk image and then leaves and the whispy leaves that are hanging down. It also comes with a variety of different blossoms that I've had so much fun using on three of today's cards.

I chose to heat emboss the fabulous Nifty Plaid Background stamp paired with some ink blending to create an unexpected background. I love how soft it looks behind the tree and the blossoms.

The swing, which is part of the Floral Breeze Accessories die collection, is adhered to the background piece using a 2 way glue pen. I also did some ink blending on the grass die cut to give it some variation in color.

The Pierced Feature Frames: Rectangles are the perfect addition to frame this sweet scene! I wish I was there on that swing right now! How about you?

I used a combination of liquid glue and foam squares to adhere the leaves and the blooms for dimension and depth to the scene.

My next card uses the fabulous sentiment die cut that is part of the Floral Breeze Accessories die collection. I die cut it twice and glued it together using liquid glue for a chipboard weight piece.

I placed it directly onto an oval that has been die cut using the Nesting Basics: Pierced Ovals and secured it with liquid glue. I placed a few of the colorful blooms over the flowers on the sentiment for added color!

The background for this particular card was created by doing some ink blending and ink splatter on a 4 1/4 inch by 5 1 /2 inch piece of white cardstock. I layered the Cover Plate: In the Woods portion over the top to give the illusion of a grove of trees.

The sentiment portion is added to the center of this piece using foam squares. Once that was done, I was able to add the tree trunk and the additional blooms.

A few sparkling clear sequins finish off this colorful design.

I've got one more using the Floral Breeze stamp set, this one uses the cute swing and grass paired with an older "happy birthday" sentiment.

I loved the colorful blooms on the previous card, so I chose to use that same look, but with Lilac Grace cardstock as the background for a springy design.

I had the opportunity to use the shadow stamp on this design, which I love because it grounds the tree. I stamped it in Lilac Grace for a tone on tone shadow effect.

I love the vellum sentiment strip because it allows the card to flow "almost" uninterrupted! ha ha!

I added a few sparkling clear sequins to the centers of a few of the flowers for some sparkle.

I've got a few more cards to share with you today using some fabulous new products! One of my favorites is the new Love to Layer: Fusion die! I love the partial cut on this die! I used it in two different ways on these next two cards.

To begin the "hello beautiful" card, I die cut the stitched outer piece out of Bright Buttercup cardstock and the floral portion out of white cardstock. I used sponge daubers to add the different colors to each of the flowers.

I die cut it out of Hawaiian Shores cardstock and cut it in half on the butterfly card for a different look.

I flared up each of the different pieces of the colored flowers. A few of them did flatten after I added the die cut "hello beautiful" To Die For Sentiment. It is die cut twice out of white cardstock and once out of True Black and glued together using liquid glue.

The "You are missed" sentiment is also from the new Just Sentiments: Just Because stamp set and it stamped in black at the bottom of the Love to Layer: Notched dies

I actually cut it in half so that I could stretch it longer than it actually is to suit my design purposes.

All of this is layered onto a panel of Limeade Ice cardstock that is die cut using the Border Bling: Tin Stitch Die. I just love this particular die and the detail that it gives to my projects.

I can't wait to try using these new fusion dies to create circle shaped cards as well!

My next card  uses the new Graceful Wings stamp set. I die cut a bunch of them out of rainbow colors and hot glued them together in the center.

I heat embossed the vine pattern onto vellum and added it as the top layer to this butterfly with a few of the stand alone blooms and leaves from the stamp set.

This card won't be going through the mail with all of the layers, but I sure had fun putting this butterfly together!

The "hi" sentiment is from the Graceful Wings set and the "just wanted to say" portion is from the Just Sentiments: Just Because stamp set.

You can really see the dimension and colors I used for the wings in this photo! It was so much fun creating this dimensional butterfly!
My last card for today's countdown uses the new Herringbone background die and this adorable new plant and light set. It comes with two different shelves, lots of pots and plants, and many light fixtures and cords. The sentiments complement the images so perfectly.

I did some simple masking using two post-it notes to create the look of the light shining down from the light. I used Distress Oxide inks for the plant, the shining light, and the background.

The background is die cut twice out of Kraft cardstock and glued together using liquid glue. I layered it over the top of the green blended background using additional liquid glue.

The sentiment is perfect for this design. I plan on giving this card to the teacher that has been doing an online reading group with my 10 year old.

Everything will be available for purchase starting at 10 PM ET on July 15th! Thanks for fluttering by!
