Countdown to Confetti Day 2

Welcome back for Day 2 of the Countdown to Confetti! Thanks for all of the love on yesterday's projects; you  made my day! It seems like you are all loving the new products as much as I am! Don't forget that there will be a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store for one blog commenter and another prize for a Facebook commenter!  Commenting will close at noon CST on November 7th and the winner will be announced at 5 pm on Nov 7th on the RC blog and FB page! Also, don't forget to head to the other designer's blogs for some extra inspiration!

As soon as I saw these sweet "Snow bunnies" and the super sweet sentiments, I knew that I just HAD to make some handwarmer gift sets to give out this holiday season! I've made many of these handwarmers in the past; they are one of my go-to gifts to give during the winter months. If you are interested in a tutorial, you can check it out HERE! I do want to note that these are a bit smaller than I usually make because I needed them to fit inside the Scalloped box. They are still a good size and perfect to slip inside your coat pocket or even a mitten.

I went to the fabric store and picked out some fabric that coordinates nicely with the new Winter Solstice paper pad (surprise, surprise) because I love it so much! I love these sweet "floral" snowflakes. They are perfect for all winter long and not necessarily Christmas-y.

The bunnies are stamped and colored using Copic  markers and then die cut using the coordinating "Snow Bunnies" confetti cuts. The sentiment is stamped above the die cut window and says "Friends keep your heart warm". I just love that! So super cute!

I also stamped the snow image and added some Nuvo drops here and there! They are closed using some mini clothespins with a bow attached. These were so much fun to make!

Next up, are these super sweet "furever friends". The sentiments included are cute and punny for any dog/cat lover! I love all of the little accessories as well! For this card, I used the "Scallop bag and tag creator" to cut out the two squares. I did some ink blending on a white panel to give these critters an interesting background. I also added some ink splatters as well.

The images are stamped and then colored using Copic markers. I die cut them using the coordinating "Furever Friends" Confetti Cuts and added them to the card using foam squares.

The dog bed is stamped onto a piece of the "Winter Solstice" pattern paper and then die cut for some added pattern. I also added a strip of paper to the side that is stitched using my sewing machine.

The sentiment is heat embossed in silver for some shine. I also added some Crystal glaze to the dog's bone, bow, and both of the noses. A few sparkling clear sequins finish this design off! I hope you've enjoyed today's projects! Thanks for fluttering by!

Another GREAT post Kelly...everything is SO cute!! I love your handwarmers and think I'd like to make some...do you use regular long grain rice or instant rice, or doesn't it matter? I'm thinking these would make wonderful stocking stuffers this year!! Thanks again for so much great inspiration!! :0)
