Baskets of Birthday Wishes and a little giveaway!

Thanks for stopping by today...I have a couple of Spring inspired cards to share with you! I've had the idea for these cards in my head for a while and I sat down after church on Sunday to finally put my idea onto paper. I'd been watching "Little Women" on Netflix the night before, so I asked my daughter if she wanted to watch it with me while I worked on these cards. She begrudgingly did, but I could tell she was captivated from the very start and ended up LOVING it. I knew she would! Also, I seemed to have bought a few doubles of some things in the last few weeks and I wanted to make my mistake your good fortune! Scroll to the bottom of the post to see the photo of the giveaway items and a few details.

To begin, I got to work blending two 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inch panels of smooth Bristol paper using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink. I also added a good spritzing of Shimmer Spray for some added shine and to get some oxidation happening here and there. While those were drying, I got to work die cutting 4 of the Basket Die Coverplate. I glued two together for each card. I like doing this for some added dimension and stability. I didn't add it to the panel at this time because I wanted to heat emboss the two sentiments first. I needed to wait until the blended panels were completely dry so I didn't get any powder sticking places it shouldn't. I used my MISTI stamping tool for proper alignment. I just set the basket pieces on top really quickly for placement, but them moved them for the actual stamping.

The sentiments are from one of my all-time favorite sets called Graceful Greetings. Once they were embossed, I then added the basket pieces using liquid glue. Doing it at this time also helped with the slight warping that happens while heat embossing. It just helped get everything smooth again.

While the glue was drying, I got to work creating my garden of flowers using one of my new favorites; Farmers Market Florals. I stamped quite an army of flowers and leaves and then used the coordinating Farmer's Market Florals Dies

I placed them here and there using foam squares and added a few to the basket handle as well. I added some crytal glaze drops to the leaves and flowers on the "Hello" card.

I added a few rhinestone embellishments on this card. I had so much fun working on these and it was such a fun time watching Little Women with my daughter!
I'm giving these few things away since  I accidentally bought duplicates. Leave me a comment on the crafty accessory you CAN'T live without and I'll draw a name on Friday at noon. I'll announce the winner on Saturday.
Thanks for fluttering by!

My one tool that I couldn't do without is my MISTI. I use it all the time! Thank you for the chance to win these goodies and for always inspiring me to create.

I love this gorgeous card! The gold greeting really pops with the pastel florals. Beautiful color combo! The tool I rely on the most is the Misti. Don't know how I ever stamped without it. ( I did use the Stampamajig a lot!). I have a problem with crooked sentiments & the Misti cured it!!😆

Beautiful cards. Love the flowers and the basket. I can't live without my paper trimmer--a tonic guillotine.

Had out of town company for the past couple of days so missed this card. Love it and love the bright colors! I love my Misti and being an imperfect stamper, it has helped in so many ways! But I always say a little crooked means it is homemade and handmade!

That’s a lovely set of cards !! About a crafty accessory I can’t live without, it’s very hard to choose only one but I’d say my Tim Holtz scissors. They’re so sturdy and I can’t hold them without hurting my hands !!

I would have to say pearls or jewels to add the finishing touch.

These cards are stunning!!! Love the gold embossed sentiment! I don't think I could make CARDS without my Misti and embossing powder. Nuvo drops are a close third in line. Thanks for the chance to win your duplicates!!!

First of all, I love your cards. The basket die is a perfect backdrop -- I forgot all about that die. The Misti has changed my stamping life. I also love embossing -- particularly rose gold at this time.
