Since I was in a time crunch, I generated both of my sentiments on the computer and only stamped the crown. I used Berry Sorbet from Papertrey ink, which is the perfect match. I used my nestablities oval and oval scallops for the main panel. I also added a Kaiser colored pearl to the center of the crown. I decided to take a little extra time to add some zig-zag stitching. I really wanted to distress and sponge the edges, but I resisted since the outfit was so cute and crisp, I wanted to keep that same feel.
I found some matching satin ribbon from Offray in my stash that worked perfectly. I added a vintage reproduction button for the finishing touch. Even though it was quick, I think it turned out nicely. This is similar to a card I had published in Paper Crafts Card Creations 6 if you have had a chance to see that issue. I had used a computer generated sentiment for that card as well. As much as I love stamps, sometimes it is nice to be able to make something say exactly what you want and the size and font you want, too!
I feel like I have been running from one project to the next, without any breathing room. I finally got my stamp area cleaned up and everything put back where it belongs. I am ready for a fresh week. My kid's will be going back to school on Tuesday, so we will be getting back onto our *school time* routine. Tomorrow will be a full day of housework and maybe a chance to squeeze in some stamping. Thanks for fluttering by!

Love your card!
SO true about not having the right card on hand when you actually need one!
This is just beautiful. Love everything about it
Gorgeous! What a sweet, sweet baby card! I love the little pearl on the crown! :)
So beautiful,
I agree with you about coordinating the gift with the card. I do the same. This card is really classy with the crown image. The papers are gorgeous!
This is beautiful Kelly!
Kelly, I love the computer generated sentiment! The colors and stitiching are perfect!
So precious-- it is fun to match the card to the gift! What gorgeous colors and design--looks fabulous even though you said it was a quick one! Love how that happens!
Such a lovely card! I know what you mean about not having the right card on hand --- I do the same thing. Only I think it I would have missed the shower making the last minute card --- I'm a little slow! Val
This is wonderful, Kelly -- especially considering you threw it together in a pinch. It sure doesn't look like anything last minute! Love your custom-made words and the beautiful Berry Sorbet.
