It's my turn for this week's Papertrey Ink Flash Sale and I couldn't resist picking the Pleasing Pineapple Hot Foil Plate as the backdrop for this summery design! I also paired it with a few stamp sets that were released at the same time as the Hot Foil Plate to bring this card to life!
I used gold foil on a Berry Sorbet panel of cardstock. I used the highest heat setting and heat it for 25 seconds to get complete coverage. I trimmed it down to 4 by 5 1/2 inches and attached to an A2 top-folding white card base.
I die cut the focal panel using the Love to Layer: Rectangles die set and then stamped the clouds and sun from the Tuck It: Travel stamp set. The sun is actually the first step in the globe image, but it also worked well for my sun! ha ha!
I stamped the palm trees, which are from the same stamp set and arranged them how I wanted. I didn't secure them at this time because I wanted to add the sentiment. This particular sentiment is from the Just Sentiments: Days of Summer stamp set. Once that was done, I added the palm trees using foam squares. I adhered some Rainbow Gems to the center of each palm tree for some added detail!
I added a strip of Bitty Big: True Black paper to the side of the focal panel for some interest. I tucked a few leaves from the Feathered Friends 24 die collection for added texture. The entire card front is spritzed with shimmer spray for a fun summer glow! Thanks for fluttering by!
