Time For Take-Out *Sneak Peek*

Yes...it is that time again! Time for a fabulous new template from Papertrey Ink that will be available for purchase on the 15th of this month. It isn't your ordinary "Take-Out" box that we all have seen again and again. This one is fresh and fun and available in two sizes. You all know how much I love it when you get two for one! One of the fun things about this one is that you can use two different colors of paper to coordinate for a bit of interest. I chose to use Spring Moss and Pure Poppy for my project. I also paired it withEveryday Button Bits, one of my must have sets, as well as Polka Dot Basics. Of course I couldn't resist adding a few of the new Holiday Mix VintageButtons. I finished the project off by adding a bow of Pure Poppy Swiss Dot Ribbon. I can't wait to fill this up with a sweet treat to give to a friend! Thanks for fluttering by!

Around Town Tote *Sneak Peek*

I always hate showing you the "super sneak peek" that I usually do for one of the template releases(because I feel like a tease), so I thought I would make another project using the smaller of the two sizes of the new "Around Town Tote". I will still share my *sneak peek*, but you will be able to see the template a little bit better with my second project. I will have those photos below.

For my first project, I used the larger of the two "Around Town Tote" templates. You can find all of the Timeless Templates on the Papertrey Ink website. This one will be available on October 15th. I am really excited to create many of these to get my Christmas gifts wrapped and under the tree. P.S. I don't have my Christmas tree up, yet, if you were wondering! LOL! I used the Believe stamp set, which I love. I have used it every Christmas since it has been released. It is one of my all-time favorites. I also used Fancy Flourishes and Background Basics:Text Style. I told you that I love that set; it is so versatile. I used the Bitty Dot and Green Tea pattern paper that can be found here. I tied the whole thing together, no pun intended, using True Black Saddle Stitch Ribbon.

For my second project, I used all of the same supplies I used on yesterday's post. You can read and see all about it here. I have all of the supplies linked there. I decided to create one more little project to go along with my birthday ensemble. No birthday is complete without a little sugar. I decided to make the smaller of the two totes and I will throw some type of chocolate or something inside.

I promise this will be the last of the projects using this paper, stamp sets and ribbon, etc. I will finally get it all delivered to my friend.

P.S. I realize that I was completely M.I.A. last week and didn't even give an explanation. I was having fun with my kids this week, since they will be going back to school on Monday. We were able to go to the Hogle Zoo and see the new baby elephant. Can I just say precious? It was so fun to see it and I was surprised to see how small it was, even though it was born in August. I should have some extra time this week to create, since the kids will be back to school.

A Template *sneak peek* and a Sketch!

ETA: I forgot to mention that Jen has put together a "Goodie Bag" for one lucky participant using this week's sketch. You can find the link to her blog at the bottom of my post for more deets!I am combining a few things today; this week's new SFYTT and one of the new Timeless Templates from Papertrey Ink by Lauren Meader. I am posting the card template a little early, so I hope Jen is okay with that. Forgive Me, Jen? I decided to make an ensemble to give to my friend who's birthday I completely forgot and still haven't made it right. I feel really bad!

I was excited with this week's sketch. It let me use a lot of pattern paper and embellishments; which I love. I also used DamaskDesigns which I felt needed a "moment". It has been neglected, yet I love it!

I also paired it with Background Basics: Text Style which hasn't been neglected and seems to be making an appearance on many of my projects lately! I did do a little "embellishment tweaking" as far as the placement that was on the original sketch. I can't seem to follow the rules lately, huh?

One of the exciting things about the "Cash or Charge" template for this month is that you get 3 designs for the price of one! They are all so cute, but I chose to use Template #1. I really liked the simplicity and shape. I didn't show it opened, since I haven't purchased the gift card,yet. It has a fun slot to place a standard gift card.

I had a lot of fun with both of these projects and I hope my friend likes them.

It's on the House *Sneak Peek*

As promised, here is the 2nd "My Timeless Template" that will be released this month. Isn't Lauren amazing? I am in love with this template. It will be available from Papertrey Ink on the 15th of this month. I had a lot of fun putting this one together and again, this one comes with two sizes. This is the larger of the two sizes; the small one is perfect for place settings or tiny gifts.

I couldn't wait to ink up the new Autumn Abundance stamp set that I got the other day. It is beautiful and I am super excited to make some other fun autumnal creations with it. Again, I went for an autumn color combo; this one is a little unconventional, but I love it. I also used a couple of Nestabilities Dies to complete my project. They have been feeling a little neglected lately. I also added a row of assorted buttons which I opted to leave naked. I wasn't feeling that patient, but in all reality it probably would have looked a little more polished. Who knows, maybe I will pull them all off and get them some thread! LOL!

On a different note, I finally took the plunge and put on some maternity clothes this week. The panel in my pants is a bit baggy, but the waist band on most of my pants were starting to get tight. I finally *feel* pregnant with the maternity clothes on. I decided to go and get a few new clothes since the ones I have from my daughter are all summer and the ones from my son are totally out of fashion. Now I am scratching my head as to why I held on to them for so long. Anyway, while I was shopping, the sales girl asked what I was having and I told her that we were still unsure. She told me to do the wedding ring threaded with a strand of your hair trick. I did it when I got home and it gave a result opposite of what the doctor and I were thinking. It is the same result as the chinese zodiac, too. I don't know how much stock you can put into either one, but it is kindof fun and it will be fun to see what he or she ends up to be! Baby is certainly active and it has been lots of fun to feel him or her kicking me. It is such a reassuring feeling, although I freak out if I don't feel any movement for a while. Is it January yet? Keeping Tabs *Sneak Peek*

It is time again for another "My Timeless Template" releases by Papertrey Ink and created by Lauren Meader. Again, my first sneak peek is one that I can't "completely" show you since it will be included in the idea book that is included with your purchase of this template. I always hate it when this one comes first, since I feel like a big tease! I promise the next one will be the full project! This template is amazing. I was thrilled when I saw it for the first time and new that I would be using it alot. It is really fun to put together and I like that it comes in two sizes.

I decided to use the fun Bird Watching set. I always think of spring with birds, but I decided to mix it up a bit and use some fun, fall colors for this project. Speaking of birds...I feel so bad. I think I need to stop cleaning my sliding glass doors, because birds keep flying into them. We have found two dead birds in the last two weeks. Today I heard a horrendous thud only to find a completely dazed and trembling bird on my deck. It sat there for over an hour trying to recooperate, I guess, and then the next time I checked it was gone. I hope my kids don't find a surprise when they go out back to play. There were even feathers stuck to my window; poor little thing. I asked my husband if I should call animal control to see if they could help it but he didn't think they did things for birds. Anyway, I guess I should get back to the project.....

I really love this bird set and I mixed it up using the ever versatile Background Basics:Text Style. I am in love with this set! Tucked In

As promised, here is a peek at the 2nd My Timeless Template that will be released from Papertrey Ink on the 15th. It is called "Tucked In"; isn't that a cute name? I chose to create the smaller of the two sizes...isn't that great that you get two for one? I think I forgot to mention on yesterday's post that you get two sizes with that one as well.
I thought it would be the perfect size to hold a small piece of jewelry and since another friend of mine just had a baby girl, I decided to create a little something for her. I didn't just want to "throw" the bracelet in there or even wrap it in tissue, so I decided to make a tiny, tufted pillow to tie the bracelet to; kindof like what you might see a ringbearer holding.

Once I had assembled the box and decorated it, I got to work on the pillow. I just cut a tiny piece of fabric; actually a remnant of some that I had used to make some baby bibs, so she will probably get one of those as well. I sewed it just as you would a pillow, stuffed it with polyfiberfill and then stitched up the open end. I threaded the ribbon through two of the 4 holes on the button, and then stitched the other two holes through the pillow to create the "tuft". I then threaded the ribbon through the bracelet and secured it with a bow. I crumpled a tiny piece of typing paper and added it to the bottom of the box as well as the extra links for the bracelet and then placed the pillow on top for height.
I let the Pattern Paper do all the work and only added a few details and minimal stamping. Since the box is so tiny, I didn't want to overwhelm the design. I used the circle image from Simply Stationery and a tiny sentiment from Mixed Messages. I punched it out using a 1 1/4 inch circle punch and then matted it with a 1 3/8 inch circle punch. I finished it off with some ribbon and a button.



I had so much fun with this one and I can't wait to present my friend with her gift! Thanks for fluttering by!

Fold N' Go *Sneak Peek*

It is that time again; time to share a brand spankin' new template from Lauren! It will be available for purchase from Papetrey Ink on the 15th of this month. I always hate when my *sneak peek* is the first template because I feel like I am *cheating* you all! You can view my entire project when you purchase the template. I will be able to show you the entire project for the next template, though!

I had a lot of fun putting this template together. It was easy peasy and I can see myself using it again and again. I actually have a few gift ideas already in mind. I will share them when I get them all done! I created this for my darling little nephew who turns 10 in a few days. I always have more fun creating things with the recipient in mind!

I combined quite a few Papertrey Ink sets for this project all of which can be viewed Here! They include: Polka Dot Basics, Background Basics: Text Style, Birthday Basics, Fresh Alphabet & Star Prints. It looks like I went "back to basics" on this one! LOL! Pretty Petal Pocket Preview

Try saying that ten times fast! LOL!


First of all, I just want to thank *all* of you who left me such kind, sweet and encouraging comments. You really made my day and I cried as I read how many of you have experienced losses. Thank you for sharing with me! It really means a lot!

I switched from babies to brides for this project. This is the second template from Papertrey Ink that will be released on the 15th. It is so much fun! It is called "Pretty Petal Pocket".When I first saw it, of course it looked like a flower. I then kept looking at it and realized that it looked a lot like an upside down umbrella. Of course I can use any excuse to use Dawn's "Scattered Showers", but I really did think it was perfect! LOL!

For some reason, the colors I chose to use for this project said *Bridal* to me, so I went with it. I did alot of layering on this project. I layered the center panel on the pocke itself. I then created more layers and dimension using my oval and scallop oval nestibilites. Once that was done, I thought I should layer the umberella as well, so it was stamped twice, cut and layered. Of course every bride needs a little bling, so I carefully added some diamond stickles to the center of the flowers on the umbrella, the *O* on shower, and evenly spaced some dots on the handles.


I tied two small, satin bows and adhered them at each handle using glue dots. Once that was done, I added some Aqua Mist Vintage Buttons to the center of each bow. I really wanted to add something else, but as I sat looking at it, I decided to be done!

These would make cute bridal shower favors or even to tuck a small gift or gift card in. You will want to head over to Lauren's Blog to see some more samples using this adorable template!!!!

Milk Made *Sneak Peek*

It is that time again; time for another sneak peek of Lauren's fabulous new template called "Milk Made". It will be available for purchase on the 15th over at Papertrey Ink. I will admit that I was a little intimidated when I saw the template, but all of that disappeared once I had it printed and got started. I actually couldn't believe how easy it was in the end. You may have been wondering why I haven't been "myself" lately, as I have also been wondering. Let's just say it was a huge surprise for all of us!!!!!!

Card Couture *sneak peek*

As I mentioned on my last post, Lauren has come up with two *amazing* templates this month. It was fun sharing my picnic basket project with you and today I get to show you a *sneak peek* of Lauren's other template; Card Couture. You will flip when you see how fun it is. I made mine to hold coupons, since I am a coupon girl, but the possibilities are endless.

I can't wait to try it out to hold photos, cards, and more. As I mentioned before, mine was made to hold the coupons that I will be using on each particular shopping trip. I didn't want it to scream *coupon carrier*, so I just decorated with things I like; ribbon, buttons, and a little distressing. As you can see, I decided to use the same concept that I shared on my "Embellish It" post. I found *the* best button in my Aqua Mist Vintage Button stash, so I quickly put it to good use. This template as well as the Pack a Picnic template will be available for purchase on the 15th at Papertrey Ink.

Pack-a-Picnic

There is something about women that makes us drawn to anything that is on a miniature scale; have you noticed that? That is one of the reasons why I fell in love with the new "Pack-a-Picnic" My Timeless Template that Lauren has come up with. The neat thing about this particular template, is that it comes in two sizes. While they are both small and adorable, I chose to create the mini-size basket because it is just so darn cute! This particular template as well as another gem will be released on the 15th from Papertrey Ink. Another thing that I love about the templates is that you can make them again and again and they don't even take up any room in my stamp space because they are all on the computer; nothing to trace, keep track of, or measure.
All I did for this template, was to print it out onto Kraft cardstock, cut and fold on the printed score lines and assemble. Easy, Peasy! The only "thinking" I had to do was to create the woven piece for the front and that was easy, peasy, too! I decided to keep the stamping simple, since the basket has so many fun details in and of itself, like the moving basket handles, the fun shape and the lid. I didn't want to cover any of it up, even though in the end I covered up the most time-consuming part. LOL!
Wouldn't these make adorable party favors or place cards! I can't wait to implement them into a party or shower that I host. Thanks for fluttering by!

Let's Do Lunch *sneak peek*

I hope you all know how much I hate being a tease. I was excited this month because I was able to show you a completed project using the "My Timeless Templates" first. So...I guess you know what that means; today's peek is just that, a peek. If you purchase the new "Let's Do Lunch" template, my entire project will be included in the idea book.

I have to say, I was super excited when I saw this adorable template that Lauren came up with. It is one of those templates that I can see myself using again and again. It is a really fun and clever way to package up a treat or gift. Lauren has some samples on her blog, so that you can see the entire shape. She really has outdone herself on this one!

I'm a little teapot...

Short and Stout, Here is my handle, here is my spout! LOL!
I think I may just be one of the luckiest girls in the world. I feel really blessed to be able to work with Lauren and Papertrey Ink on the "My Timeless Templates" Team. Each time I see what Lauren has put together, I am giddy! This month is no different. This darling little container is ideal for so many purposes. I decided to make this one into a little *tea caddy* of sorts. I will admit that when I first saw this darling container, my mind thought of a tea pot; the shape, size, etc. I had fallen in love with the idea of making the container into a tea pot and struggled with it for way too long. I gave up, photographed it, then decided that it really did *need* to be a little tea pot. I will share both photos, with and without it's costume on! Since I wanted to turn it into a tea pot, what better set to use than Nichole's new "Tea For Two" stamp set. I hadn't quite gotten my fill anyway! It is the perfect fit for Lauren's new "Ready, Set, Wrap" template. I really liked the simplicity, yet utter genius of this new template. I love how it folds, how easy it is to make and the size! It is perfect!

I started out by printing the template onto Ocean Tides Cardstock. I added a mat layer of "Tea Leaves" pattern paper from last month's release as well. I find is so charming and sweet. I stamped the images using True Black. I added some Spring Moss satin ribbon (scrumptious), Cream and White Vintage Buttons and some sewing. I think it turned out really cute, if I do say so myself!

From the Desk Of...

As promised, here is a complete project using the second template that will be included in the April release. There was a question asked about yesterday's post wondering where the templates can be purchased. The template from yesterday and the one shown today will be available for purchase on the Papertrey Ink website starting on the night of the 14th at Midnight.

Today's "My Timeless Template" is called "From the Desk of". Isn't it cute? I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. Of course I was a little selfish with this one; I tailored and personalized it for myself. Everything I make is usually for someone else, I decided to make something I could keep. I recently purchased the Simple Stationery and the Fresh Alphabet sets, so I put them to good use on this one. I also used Heart Prints and Heart Prints Sentiments. I will also admit that I am a hoarder of all things Papertrey. It came in handy on this project, because I had a full pad of "Guidelines" pattern paper that I was able to use on this. I also had an unopened spool of Plum Pudding satin ribbon that was begging to be cut into.

This template is perfect for organizing mail or creating a stationery set for yourself or a friend. I love the two sections that make it easy to organize outgoing and incoming mail. I was tempted to make mine specifically for mail, but opted instead for something I could put in my bedroom for organization. I may be making another one in the near future for my mail.

The thing I love about these templates is how easy they are to put together. If you haven't ever purchased one before, they are really user friendly. Everything is marked where you need to cut and score. I knew if Lauren had anything to do with it, they would be amazing. I was right!

Get a Handle on It

I was excited to see that Nichole mentioned in her post that I would be a permanent fixture on the "My Timeless Template" design team for Papertrey Ink. You can check out previous month's templates here. I wasn't sure if I could let the cat out of the bag yet, so I didn't say a word. I was equally excited to accept this position and can I just say I am in love? Lauren does such an amazing job each month with her amazing templates. This month isn't any different. One of the two templates this month is called "Get a Handle on It". I can only show you a *teaser*, but if you purchase the template this month, you can see my complete project, inside and out!

Don't fret that I am holding out on you! Tomorrow I will be showing you a full, detailed project with the second template that is equally amazing. Of course for my first *official* project, I had to use one of my picks, Green Thumb! This was one of those sets that was an immediate must have when it was released. It has made it's way onto many projects.


This month's "Get a Handle On It" template is so versatile. The size is perfect for so many things. I can see myself turning to it again and again. I really like the *play on words* with this template as well. I only showed a tiny bit of "the handle" but it is so fun and it is a great way to use those punches! My mind has been racing with different ideas for using this template; cookies, candles, baby bibs, candy, cupcakes, etc. You all know how much I love to throw a party, so I have been thinking this template would be great for party favors.
