Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments on yesterday's post; you are so sweet! I'm back today for day 2 of The Greetery January countdown for the beautiful "Love Letters" collection! I've got 3 projects to share with you today using a whole bunch of new goodies, as well as the Windowpane Plaid Background and the Postal Frames dies that were showcased yesterday. You'll want to head to the other designers' blogs as well to see how they've used these amazing new products!
Kelly Lunceford (you are here)
The new BotaniCuts Rose die is one of my favorites from the release and I can't wait to use them even more! I had so much fun adding glitter and dew drops to these beautiful blooms to make them pop!
The new Written in Ribbon stamps and dies are so beautiful and so much fun to use! I didn't think I would love them quite as much as I do!
I paired the "Just for You" sentiment with the new "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment which is from the new Sentiment Suite Love stamps. I die cut it using the Sentiment Suite Basics Die Collection...I love these because they fit perfectly!
I also stamped the new Windowpane Plaid Background in white for a different look today. I added the pink panel that is die cut using the Postal Frames Dies to set the stage for the sentiments and the roses.
The BotaniCuts Roses dies comes in two sizes with different leaves and of course the sweet little bud die as well! I can't wait to play around with these more using watercolors, ink blending and more to really give them different looks!
I used a 2 way glue pen to add the crystal glitter and then added the dew drops using Nuvo Drops here and there!
My second cards uses a lot of the same, but this beautiful new stamp set is called Sketchbook Roses and I chose to heat emboss it and then watercolor it with metallic paints. My sister gave me a beautiful set for Christmas and sweet Betsy tucked a set into our package as well, so I had so many beautiful colors to choose from!
I heat embossed the image onto watercolor paper using gold powder. I love watercoloring over embossing because it hold the paint inside the raised portion of the image that the embossing creates.
As you can see, I used the Written in Ribbons set for the "hello" sentiment and the Sentiment Suite Love once again!
I added a few gold Nuvo drops around the roses for some extra detail and visual interest!
I had a few roses left over and I debated on how I would use them. I was tempted to create a tag, but decided they would be better purposed on a card. It also gave me a chance to use the sentiments that are included in the Sketchbook Roses stamp set as well.
I'd been using the Postal Frames Dies a lot so I decided to switch things up and use the beautiful Nordic Frames dies for some variation!
I mentioned yesterday that I love how Betsy has dies for many of the sentiments as well which provides opportunities to add the sentiment smack dab in the middle, like I did here!
The "you make life more" sentiment is heat embossed in white and added to the rose using foam squares.
I also added foam squares in between each layer of the roses to really make them look more realistic.
There is an assembly guide that is included with the rose dies which makes it so much easier to put together!
I added a few sparkling clear sequins here and there for some added sparkle.
Well, friends, this concludes the projects for this release! All of the products will be available for purchase on Friday the 17th at 10 AM EST so get your lists put together ASAP! Thanks for fluttering by!
Love them all!
