SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week Day 1

Things are getting downright festive as we celebrate day 1 of the SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week! Starting today, and heading into Friday the team will be sharing peeks of the fabulous new release filled with so many fun new products! With Christmas creeping closer each day, so does the ringing of the new year!!!! Today we're showcasing a fun new set called Cheers to You **please note, the links for the new products will not be live until the shop opens on Friday**. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of this post to join the other designers on today's hop!
As you can see from my photo above,I chose to create 2 Happy New Year cards to showcase this fun new set along with its coordinating Cheers to You SugarCuts and Cheers Word with shadow SugarCuts. These are so much fun to create with; perfect for parties, tablescapes, cards, and favors!

To begin these two cards, I die cut the cheers word shadow from black cardstock and the main cheers word using specialty silver glitter cardstock. Nothing says New Year quite like glitter, am I right?

I die cut a panel of white cardstock using the Card Front Element Builder as well as the black layer underneath. I did some fun firework stamping in some bright colors using the assorted images included in the set. These would be perfect for 4th of July cards and crafts as well!

These bright fireworks set the stage for me to add the die cut bottle; I used a silver specialty paper, green and teal for a realistic looking bottle! I also stamped the "popped cork" image onto the white panel and then colored it with Copic markers. The champagne flutes are also stamped and then colored, using the Cheers to You SugarCuts and added to the card using foam squares. Of course I had to add some Crystal Glaze to the bubbles in the glasses for some added detail and dimension.

Some of the other details include the sparkly sequins on the fireworks and white panel. The "cheers" word is popped up over the bottle for even more dimension. The Happy New Year sentiment is stamped directly underneath in black ink.

I had a lot of fun working on these two designs! Make sure you head to the other designers' blogs to see how they've used this fun set! Thanks for fluttering by!
