Spellbinders Large and Small Die of the Month {Eekaboo}

***ETA...I have a GIVEAWAY going on @kellylunceford (Instagram) to win these dies!***Hello friends! I'm popping in real quick on this beautiful Saturday afternoon to share the fabulous Spellbinders September large and small die of the month! These are available through a monthly membership! I will link the products as I explain this small die kit and then the next project features the large die!

First up is the the Small die of the month set that is called Eek-a-boo! This set allows you the opportunity to create all kinds of trick-or-treaters dressed in a ghost costume, a devil, a skeleton, Frankenstein, etc. You really could get quite creative with the bits and pieces and come up with some other fun creations!

My boys love to trick-or-treat so much and my boy, Rhys, loves Halloween so, so much! Since I love it, too, it really makes the holiday fun! These little die cuts remind me of my little boys!

To begin, I die cut all the pieces that I would need top put these cuties together. I have found that if you have the right tools to begin with, it really makes putting these together so much easier. My supply list includes: a good die cutting machine, a pin or paper piercer to release any small or stubborn dies that get stuck, 2 way glue pen, liquid glue with a fine tip applicator, tweezers.

Once all of the pieces were die cut, glued, and ready to go, I added the letters to a black circle that was die cut using the Nestabilities circle dies. I added this to the other layers using foam squares for dimension.

This set the stage for these cute trick-or-treaters to be added as well! The nights are coming sooner, the air is getting crisp and all of this means that Halloween is on its way!

These cards feature this month's Large Die of the Month which is called "Game of Gnomes"! I decided to make two since it just as easy to cut two of everything when everything is out.

I die cut all of the pieces and put the dies away as I went to that I won't lose any. I also try and assemble as I go; toadstools, acorns, gnome, etc.

I added some shading using ink and a blender brush to the toadstools, stems and hats.

I set the scene by doing some simple ink blending around the edges using blue and green ink. Once that was done, I got to work putting it all together using glue and foam squares. The cute little sentiment is from the You're my Type stamp set and it fit perfectly in the little sign. Thanks for fluttering by!
