It's a super busy day on the blog, but I'm thrilled to be on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog today sharing these two cards! I'm sharing them here as well and I'll share how I made both of them using some of my favorite new products from the August release!
First up is this fun card using the amazing new Kelly Alpha UpperCase dies paired with the new Leafy Envelope Die. I didn't get a chance to use the Leafy Envelope die during the release so I was happy to use today! I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Delicate Wreath stamp set, onto the envelope using black ink. I added it to a piece of pattern paper from the Just a Little Lovely 6 by 6 pattern paper pad using foam squares.
I die cut the "HI" letters twice and glued them together using liquid glue. I had some extra flowers left over from the release from the Lovely Blossoms stamp set so I added them to the envelope using liquid glue. Once that was done, I was able to add the "HI" letters using liquid glue.
I also added some clear gems from the Essentials: Crystals Mix here and there for some shine! I layered the entire panel onto an Aqua A2 card base using foam squares for added dimension.
My second card uses the amazing new Floral Vase Stamp Set that I love so much! I stamped the bouquet in black in and colored it using Copic markers. The vase is stamped using a few different ink colors to get the realistic depth. I also stamped the stems in black over the top. Once that was done, I used the coordinating Floral Vase dies to die cut everything out.
The white background piece was created by dry embossing the new Modern Blooms die to create this quilted texture that I love! I also added a white Braided Oval using foam squares to set the stage for the vase and flowers.
I used the new Beautiful Word Die die cut out of silver glitter cardstock. I added it to the vase using a 2 way glue pen. The "birthday wishes" sentiment is stamped in black and added to the vase using foam squares. I had so much fun on both of these cards! Thanks for fluttering by!
Hi Kelly! It’s been awhile since I stopped by and Kelly, your work is breathtaking. There’s never been a card made by you, that I don’t love. I sincerely mean that. It’s too bad big companies that sell cards don’t take their business more seriously. I was a manager for Hallmark cards and I know your designs would have sold. Back in the day, an artist like yourself could submit a sample of their work and I know you would have been chosen. You’re so extremely talented and I love stopping by and enjoying your latest designs. Your cards in this post are gorgeous. I’ll stop chattering and say ciao for now. I hope you and your family are doing very well. See ya soon! 😊 Many Hugs, Stephanie
