Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink February release countdown! I'm sharing 4 projects today and up first is a fun Easter card using the precious new On the Bunny Trail stamp/die set! This set includes the cute bunny that you can see peeking out of the truck and a bunch of really cute accessories! Three of the cards I made use this fun set, so I will be showing a few different ways to use it!
As you can see, it was created to coordinate with the previously released Patriot Die. Please note: I glued the truck together before I realized that the "Happy Easter" sentiment was made to fit on the door of the truck, so make sure you don't put the handle down too far. I just made it by a sliver! ha ha!
I had so much fun stamping all of the Easter eggs and carrots to fill up the back of the truck! I also used some leftover greenery and a flower from yesterday's Spring card.
The bunny has "paws" that you can add to the outside of the truck to make it appear that he's peeking out!
The background was created by stenciling an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Playful Dots Stencil collection and an assortment of springtime pastel colored inks. I then die cut it using the FABULOUS new Cover Plate: Quilted Die....I'm in love! Everything is layered up onto an Aqua Mist piece that was die cut using the beautiful new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die collection that was showcased yesterday.
When I was young, one of my favorite Easter decorations was the sugar eggs with the hole in the front and you could look in and see some sort of Springtime or Easter scene. I thought I would try something similar, but using the previously released Winter Globes Die.
I chose to use a few extra flowers from the Vase Collection 15 card I made yesterday and tucked some of the carrots and the bunny behind the cluster.
The On the Bunny Trail stamp set also comes with the cute crate that I filled up with eggs. The banner fits perfectly on the front for some added detail.
I mentioned yesterday that I experimented quite a bit with the new Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate; with all of that experimenting came a lot of not-quite-perfect panels. ha ha! I decided not to waste one of them and used it for this card. I simply added some darker ink around the edges to camouflage it a bit. The sentiment is from the new Inside Greetings: Welcome Spring stamp set that will be showcased later.
My final card using this new On the Bunny Trail stamp set shows the bunny peeking out of the crate and the "Bunny Trail" sentiment and the arrow. The sentiment fits perfectly onto the crate. I also used one of the other sentiments that are included in this set at the top.
I fell in love with the multi-colored polka dots from my first card paired with the Cover Plate: Quilted die so I used that again for this card.
This card uses the two different sizes of eggs, and please note: there are two sizes of carrots as well that I have shown on the two previous cards, but this one just uses the two larger of the carrots.
My final card for today uses the fabulous new Wild Blooms stencil collection! I'm smitten with these new stencils and know I will be reaching for them again and again. I used them again on a card I'll be sharing tomorrow!
To begin, I used the stencils on the focal panel and then added some ink around the edges. I also used the quilted die over the top for added detail.
I dry embossed the new Cornered: Spring Flowers on each of the 4 corners of the Harvest Gold cardstock. I added some Orange Zest ink around the edges for contrast.
The sentiment is from the Vase Collection 15 stamp set and is die cut with the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Brackets die collection.
I added a strip of Spring Moss Bitty Big paper across the middle for some added interest.
Join me tomorrow for day 3 of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!
