The Greetery A Song of Christmas Reveal Day 1 {Heaven and Nature Sing}

"Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me" Welcome to day 1 of full reveals for the A Song of Christmas release from The Greetery! I hope you love it as much as I do; creating with these products made my soul soar! It was just the crafty therapy I've been craving and needing! Before I dive into the details about the three cards I'm sharing today, you'll want to make sure to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of the new products! Also, leave a comment here, and on each designers' blog to be eligible to win one of 2 $50 gift certificates to the shop!

My first card for today uses the new Peaceful Doves stamp and die set paired with the new Pine and Berry Background stamp and the new Pine and Berry stamp set! I'm absolutely in love with the new doves; I've used them on every card for today and one for tomorrow! I can't wait to use these cuties for some Valentine's Day projects! The cute little letter stamps/dies from previous releases will look adorable tucked in their beaks!

I also used the new Pine and Berry background stamp on each card for today, too so you will be able to see how versatile it is. One of the reasons why I like it so much is that it's a mid-size pattern so you can see quite a bit of the pattern sticking out from a panel like I've done on this card. Sometimes background stamps have large patterns and they get lost if you cover too much of them up.

I've used the largest dove in the collection along with one of the smaller varieties. The larger doves feature die cut details and then you can add the coordinating stamped details; the smaller doves do not have as many details, but you can add them with the stamps, depending on the style you are going for! I've been wanting a dove die JUST like this one for years, so I am glad that Betsy made my wishes come true!

I added clusters from the Pine and Berry stamp set to accent the largest dove. I stamped each of the varieties twice using an assortment of green inks so that I could mix and match as needed! I had fun using them here and there on my cards for the week! In fact, if I have any one tip for crafty sessions, it's to just sit down and create a BUNCH of greenery so that you can have options when creating to tuck things here and there.

The sentiment is included in the Peaceful Doves stamp set and is just lovely, don't you think? It was slightly too large to fit on the Nordic Frame, so I opted to heat emboss it in gold onto a strip of vellum. I just love how beautiful heat embossing looks on holiday cards! I added glitter to the greenery and doves and a few sequins to finish it off!

Next up is my card using the new Peaceful Olive stamp/die set along with the Peaceful Olive Full Panel die. As you can see, I have another panel stamped with the Pine and Berry background stamp peeking from beneath the Peaceful Olive Full Panel.  I had a lot of fun experimenting with Distress Oxide ink on top of colored cardstock. This particular combination is Evergreen Bough on Pinefeather cardstock. The first card uses Weathered Wood ink on Soft Stone cardstock.

This is one of those designs that took on a life of its own and led me to the end result; this is NOT what I was planning on when I sat down to create, but I have to say, it's my favorite for today!

To begin, I die cut the Peaceful Olive Full Panel from white cardstock and then used the coordinating stencils and stamps to finish off the design. I also stamped the single branches included in the Peaceful Olive stamp set, but I didn't end up by using them for this design. I have SO many leftover bits and pieces from this release that I could have an entire crafty session just using odds and ends!

There is a space die cut on the panel that is the perfect size to place the sentiments from the Peaceful Olive stamp set, but this is when the card started to pull me in a different direction. I placed the die cut/stenciled panel over one of my backgrounds I had been making and the lightbulb went off! I knew that placing the sentiment in the allocated place would be too difficult with the busy background. I opted to die cut a Crimped Circle from Soft Stone cardstock to stamp the "let there be" and "on earth" portion of the sentiment. I also die cut a banner from the Crimped Slimline Die from Pinefeather cardstock and then glued the "PEACE" letters, from the Peaceful Olive die set, onto the banner.

I added two of the smallest doves to the top of the sentiment using foam squares. I also added sprigs and flowers from the new Winter Medley Die; this is another one that I had loads of fun using on many of my cards for the release! This is another one that you could sit and put sprigs together and then use them here and there!

I added some colored pencil details to the stenciled portions of the panel and then sprinkled glitter here and there for some holiday shine!

As you can see by now, I did NOT go for traditional Christmas colors for day 1, and not for day 2 either, really! I love the "heaven and nature sing" theme for today so I went with what I liked for that theme!

To begin this card, I die cut, stenciled, and stamped the new Heaven and Nature Sing diecut using Distress Oxide inks. I paired it with the new Noted die, but it is also made to work with the new Heaven and Nature Sing Stamp & Stencil; I figured that most of the designers would use that combination, so I chose to go in a different direction. I could be totally wrong, but I know that at least Betsy will use it! ha ha! It's actually one of my favorite new stamp sets from the release so it was killing me not to use it; I'm sure I'll have a bonus card on release day using it!(wink)

I also used the new Sing a Song of Christmas sentiment set for the "silent night"....this stamp set comes with 11 different sentiments taken from Christmas songs. As you can see, there is another dove, more Pine and Berry sprigs, and of course, another Pine and Berry Backround; this one is Peeled Paint Distress Oxide in on a panel of Spring Moss cardstock.

I layered it all up onto the two largest Nordic Circles Die cuts for a lot of dimension and interest. I stamped Weathered Wood ink onto a panel of Soft Stone ink using the Windowpane Plaid Background and then added the entire focal panel.

I added some glitter (of course) and some of the musical notes from the Noted Die to finish off this card! I had so much fun putting these non-traditonal Christmas cards together! Join me again tomorrow for day 2 of full reveals! Thanks for fluttering by!
