Hello and welcome! I'm so happy to be here today sharing a few projects using the beautiful new products included in the new Calico Fields release from The Greetery! I was so sad to miss out on the last release and wondered if any of you thought I wasn't going to be around anymore! I'm happy to say that I am; life was just a little bit crazy around that time!
There are so many wonderful new things included in this release; you'll want to head to The Greetery Blog for all of the details about each of the new products being showcased today! Also, don't forget to leave a comment here and on each of the designers' blogs for a chance to win one of 2 $50 gift certificates to the shop!
My first project for today features the FABULOUS new Warm and Wonderful stamp/die set! Utah is currently experiencing record-breaking heat for this time of year, so it was hard for me to fathom drinking something like this, but doesn't it just look absolutely 'warm and wonderful'? My cup is filled to the brim with apple cider/or wassail and is frothing with nutmeg cream on top! The cinnamon stick and orange slice might be my favorite detail!
I'm also quite fond of the cute apple slices, berry clusters, and sprigs of greenery; this set will transcend beyond autumn and work perfectly for the upcoming holidays! I chose to stamp one of the included sentiment on to a circle that is die cut using the Crimped Circles Die I added a bit of ink around the edges to give it a warm glow. I heat embossed the 'Autumn is...'portion of the sentiment in gold onto a piece of brown cardstock. I die cut it using one of the smallest dies included in the Sentiment Suite Basics Die collection.
I used the AMAZING new Jumbo Curiosities Buckeye Leaf Die to tuck behind the cup of cider! I used it on EVERY project today, so you can see just how much I love it! ha ha!
As I mentioned earlier, I didn't participate in last month's release, but that certainly didn't stop me from purchasing the entire release! I used the Sketched Wildflower Frame Stamp to create the background; I cut a 4 by 5 1/4 inch piece of Vintage Cream Linen cardstock and stamped the wildflowers using Walnut Distress Oxide ink and then added some softer ink blending around the edges. I absolutely ADORE how this turned out!
I layered all of the bits and pieces until I was happy with the arrangement! I added glitter and mounted it to a Scarlet Jewel card base using foam squares for dimension!
Next up are the gorgeous new BotaniCuts Apples dies paired with the new Print Shop: Calico and Bushel Basket die! You can also see the buckeye poking out from behind the basket!
I mentioned in an earlier post that my daughter and I were finishing up the Megan Follows Anne of Green Gables; this bushel of apples is a nod to the sweet ending! I love when Anne is picking apples for Marilla and spies Gilbert out for his autumn stroll.......
I die cut all of the apple pieces and basket from white cardstock and then colored them with finger sponges and Distress Oxide ink. I used a snippet of the Calico print I created using the stamp/stencil combo! I die cut the entire calico panel using the new Patchwork die to give it that quilted look.
The new Bushel Basket includes the cute label, but the sentiment is from the previously released Market Basket Sentiments Stamp Set; I think the 'picked fresh' sentiment works perfectly!
I die cut an arch using the previously released A2 Arches Die to frame the apple scene; I cut the calico a little bit smaller to fit!
I added some white gel pen accents to the apples to make them appear shiny and then added some glitter for sparkle and shine!
My last project for today uses the fabulous new Autumn Bliss stamp and cut combo! I'm obsessed with this beautiful sentiment and know I will use it often! And, as promised (ha ha) MORE Buckeye leaves! They're just too fabulous to resist!
To begin, I die cut a large arch using the A2 Arches Die and then stamped the sentiment using an ombre effect using different inks; I love how it turned out! I added some soft ink around the edges to give it a warm glow.
The Autumn Bliss stamp set includes a collection of tiny leaves that I stamped in the same colors and the sentiment, bringing in yellows and greens as well. I also used a few of the stand-alone flowers from the Floral Arches Die and added them around the sentiment here and there.
I die cut a panel of Vintage Cream cardstock using the new Patchwork die and then added some warm ink around the edges. I layered the leaves, half of a stenciled Leaves All Around panel and the sentiment arch. I added the leaves and flowers here and there until I was happy with the arrangement! Glitter was an absolute must for this autumn design! This concludes my projects for day 1! Join me again tomorrow for day 2! Thanks for fluttering by!
