Welcome to day 1 of the Ink to Paper June release countdown! We've got all things baby and rainbows going on today! My first card uses a fun new collection of dies called Playful Patterns: Rainbow and the new To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow! I had so much fun putting this card together using the fun new dies paired with a few of my favorite older ones as well!
To begin this colorful design, I chose my color combination for the rainbow: Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Green Parakeet, and Hawaiian Shores! I used the die cuts to cut the different portions of the rainbow as well as the corresponding letter! There are two more letters than arcs, so I just kept going in order to complete the word!
I layered the Pink Peony panel that has been die cut using the Border Bling: Lots of Dots die onto a top folding a2 card base using foam squares. I also added some Raspberry Fizz ink blending around the corners for added depth.
I was able to glue the rainbow pieces using strategically placed liquid glue. I also added the To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow dies over the top using additional liquid glue. I die cut it three times and stacked them together for a sturdy piece.
The clouds are die cut using the previously released Swirling Clouds dies. I love that there are three different dies in varying sizes to give a nice presentation. I added some shading around the edges using Hawaiian Shores ink for added definition. They are added using foam squares for maximum dimension.
I was able to attach the die cut letters using liquid glue, tucking them on and behind clouds for a whimsical look. I also added some sparkling clear sequins here and there for sparkle and shine.
My next few projects use the new Playful Patterns stamp and die collection! This is just perfect for all you Boho Rainbow loving friends! These are so trendy right now and they're sure to help you create projects to make any young mother pleased as punch! This large "hello sunshine" image was just begging to be stamped onto a white onesie! Such a quick and easy gift, but really packs a punch, especially when creating coordinating gifts/ tags!
I used the smaller rainbow and clouds in the set to create this quick and easy gift tag. I stamped a few of the star images in the corner for some added fun!
I created two cards; one boy and one girl design using the Playful Patterns stamp and die collection. These cards also use the new Love to Layer: Aztec dies. They give just a hint of fun detail to complement these baby designs.
I stamped the girl card in shades of pink and coral: Pink Peony, Berry Sorbet, Soft Stone, and Harvest Moon. The clouds are stamped in Sweet Blush with Weathervane letters for BABY!
I stamped the "oh" sentiment directly onto the cloud using my MISTI for alignment!
Each card has a trio of sparkling clear sequins for some added detail and shine! I hope you've enjoyed day 1 of the countdown! Join me again tomorrow for day 2! Thanks for fluttering by!
Beautiful cards, Kelly... and I love the onesie gift set!
