Welcome to Day 2 of the Ink To Paper Countdown! Today the team is showcasing some really fun new products! I don't know about you, but I am a sucker for jar related products. There's something so cute and fun that I love! This particular jar set is called Tag Creations: Joyful Jars and this project pairs it with the new stamp set called Just Sentiments: To and From Essentials.
The top portion of the flowers actually has a hole that you can use as a tag. I have shown a tag sample for my next project, so make sure to scroll down. The jar is made up of two die cuts; the solid piece behind the stamped piece. This allows you to create the look of the flowers floating inside, or to create a shaker card!
The flowers are all die cuts, which are included in the Joyful Jars die set. The "you are so special to me sentiment" is heat embossed in silver and then die cut using one of the included labels in the Joyful Jars die set.
I stamped the Loosely Woven image onto a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock, but I didn't ink it up all the way so that it would only be visible here and there. I love how it looks behind the jar.
I did some soft ink blending on the solid portion of the jar to give the appearance of water. The white flowers in the background on the Simply Chartreuse panel are from the previously released Nature's Background Essentials and they just give a little bit of added detail.
My second project is a tag, like I mentioned above, and it uses the same elements as the card, except I used it as a tag,and I paired it with the new Joyful Jars sentiments. These particular sentiments give you the option of creating a variety of super cute sentiments using the word "YOU".
As many of you know, I love to sew. I made this coordinating key wristlet and the tag will be so cute hanging from the ring. The fabric was the inspiration for the colors I chose to use.
The flowers and leaves are all die cut and then added to the die cut tag using liquid glue or a 2 way glue pen for the tiny stems. I added some white nuvo drops to the centers of the small yellow flowers for some added detail.
Once again I did some ink blending to mimic the look of water in the jar. I can't wait to use this cute tag to add to the key wristlet and give to a friend!
Join me again tomorrow for Day 3 of the countdown! Thanks for fluttering by!
