'Tis the Season

I spent the day yesterday working on a few DT assignments and then took down the Autumn and Thanksgiving decorations. Right now everything is bare, blank, and ready for some festive holiday colors! I love decorating for fall, but I REALLY love when the house comes alive with Christmas cheer! Before I get to work on the house, I wanted to play along with this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. It is also for the current Inspired By Challenge. I'm a sucker for Kraft and greenery!

 I used quite an assortment of Reverse Confetti stamps on today's design! To begin, I used the Stitched Rays Coverplate to create the stitched lines on the Sand Cardstock. This is one of my favorite "Kraft" colors and I use it quite a bit. Once that was done, I spritzed it with Frost Shimmer Spray for a subtle snowy feel! I set it aside to dry and got to work on the rest of the elements for today's design.

I stamped a bunch of the greenery from the Christmas Candles stamp set and then die cut them using the Christmas Candles Confetti Cuts. After those were all finished, I moved onto the trees. The trees are from the Triangle Trees stamp set and I stamped them in Avocado ink onto Avocado cardstock and then die cut them. The candle and jar are heat embossed using silver powder. I colored the tip of the candle using a yellow alcohol marker.

I originally planned to have the snowflake sprigs poking out of the greenery, but instead decided to make a snowflake using the Snowflake Magic stamp set. I added a trio of sparkling gems for some extra detail and shine. Thanks for fluttering by!
