Welcome to day #7 of my Valentines series! I have a fun little project to share with you today. My book club will meet before Valentine's Day so I wanted to make a fun "literary" inspired project to bring with me that night. I have been wanting to make book marks for the ladies, but just haven't done it.
I was rummaging around looking for things one day and came across this old Stampin' Up! set that includes the library card image. I quickly grabbed it and set it aside for when I made my book marks because I knew it would be perfect. I used quite a combination of stamp sets to create the collage look, which is one of my favorites!
I couldn't decide where I liked the bee image so I kept switching it for each card. I used the date stamp on the "due date" line and those stamps are from the Postage stamp set from PTI. Of course the "due date" is Valentine's day!
I used some decorative tape at the bottom for some extra detail. Each book mark was made using a larger paper clip, buttons, gems and felt. I love when I have everything I need for a project and don't have to make a trip to the store. Hopefully the ladies will like them! Thanks for fluttering by!
Love the rose flower with the pearl and I love the whole idea. Gives me a good idea of my valentine card for the hubs!
