I decided to take a little break from posting the cards from the card set that I have been working on and show you a little thank you card that I whipped up the other day for my In-Laws. We spent Memorial Day with them putting flowers on graves and then they treated us to lunch afterward. I wanted to let them know how much we appreciate them. I used the older "Let Freedom Ring" set from PTI that hasn't seen ink for a while and paired it with a sentiment from the brand new "Pedal Pushers". I have some other projects to show you with that new set, which I can't seem to put down, that I will share with you later.
I have been struggling a bit lately with how I am feeling about blogging. Sometimes I don't post things because I feel they aren't "blog worthy", but I decided to change my attitude and just post everything I make. Since I am not affiliated with any stamp companies or anything anymore,I don't quite know where I "fit" in the blog world, but I have realized that I enjoy creating so I may as well share it, even if it feels like no one is out there. I actually have enjoyed re-reading my blog because it has, in a way, become a scrapbook of all of the gift-giving and events that have taken place over the last few years. I have recorded things that didn't seem all that significant at the time, but as I re-read them, I realized that they were important and I had forgotten about them. So....with that being said, I am just going to post everything that I make and hope that it benefits someone, somewhere. Creating is therapy for me and I wouldn't be "me" without it, so I will just share a little bit of "me". Thanks for fluttering by!
Your attitude is THE BEST, Kelly! You create very pretty projects and I always enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kelly,
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are back to blogging. I missed your posts. I rarely comment, but I do appreciate your work and get lots of inspiration from your cards. I love PTI and am a Stampin' Up demonstrator, so most anything you show is perfect for me! Good luck with those kiddos! You are truly an inspiration! Keep up the blogging and post EVERYTHING!!!! Thanks for sharing.
I was so happy when you started posting your cards again. You are a stamper I have admired since SCS a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI really like this card and it inspires me to do some patriotic themed cards. THanks.
Please continue to post everything!! You are an amazing inspiration!! Whether you're affiliated with a stamping company does NOT matter! You are extremely creative and I look forward to seeing whatever you create!!
ReplyDeleteI rarely leave comments but I have been following your blog for years and think you do amazing work. I'm glad that you have decided to continue sharing. I feel certain that you are a big inspiration to many.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I follow your blog and love all that you post! I am kind of going through the same thing, I used to sell Stampin Up and that was the reason for my blog, now I am finding that I am exploring different ways to create and it is almost like finding myself. Just yesterday, I bought 3 Tim Holtz stamp sets and giggled, I usually only buy SU! Happy crafting!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog BECAUSE you're not affiliated with any company. Your style, color combinations and eye for detail are wonderful. I never feel you're pushing product, or the latest papers or trend. Very refreshing, Thanks Kelly!
ReplyDeleteKelly, I read every post and you have never posted anything not worthy. Just your chatter and the cards and all, I love it. this card today is knock your socs off great!
ReplyDeleteKelly you 'fit' perfectly into the world of blogging. Your cards and your sewing projects are absolutely beautiful and I always love seeing a post from you. I think that looking back over our past blogging is a bit like writing a diary as you remember what was happening at that time. I love to hear about your family too, so keep up the good work.

Please don't stop...your cards are really works of art and they do inspire, at least me!! And you are right about thinking of it as a journal for you and how your cards have evolved!!

ReplyDeleteKelly, You are one of the reasons I started stamping more. I love your cards and projects. I have made several of your gift boxes and everyone I give them to loves them! I was so excited to see you posting more and also to hear about your children. You truly are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI'm behind on my blog reading, but I wanted to comment. I'm so glad you decided to keep posting! I love your blog:)
