So...I guess you could say that I am making a New Year's Resolution to actually do the thing that I love so much; sending out cards and handmade creations to brighten the lives of the people I care about. I decided to start off with a simple set of 6, without a lot of bells and whistles and something that is easily mailable. I did have fun adding the texture and dimension with stamping, embossing and piercing to give the cards a more detailed look.
Also, I promised a "Banner" Tutorial which I am hoping to get done this week, before the baby comes. I bought paper and supplies before Thanksgiving for a Winter Banner that I have been itching to get done, so stay tuned. Also, thank you for all of your baby name suggestions. You all have such great taste as many of the names were ones that we already had on the possible list. LOL! My husband was also flattered with how many suggestions for his name were mentioned; Rory. I really would love to name our little guy Rory, after his Daddy, but my husband says that it's not fair to the other kids. Oh well!
We are still trying to narrow it down, but it is seeming to be the impossible task! Thanks for fluttering by!
Love the card! Beautiful colors. Can't wait to see the banner! Prayers for safe arrival! Blessings, Sharon
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Kelly! Two weeks to go! You must be so excited! My daughter is naming her baby boy (due in 9 weeks) Logan! PS today's card is fabulous-o!

Ah, Kelly! I've missed so much! I've been browsing through the last month in which I too feel like I've been too out of it to enjoy the Christmas season like I should have. You have a really good excuse girl and by the looks of your beautiful cards and pictures I'm thinking you have more Christmas spirit than Kris Kringle himself! Just love everything you do and coming to your blog just makes me smile, and sigh. Warm fuzzies for sure! Happy end of your pregnancy and lov you lots! Soon, my friend!
ReplyDeletethese are so beautiful! you are so talented! what do you "wrap" your cards in when you give them as gifts? I can never think of anything that matches the cards to put them in.
ReplyDeleteGreat colours and card. I just love that butterfly. Can't believe you only have two weeks to go!!! I remember when you first mentioned you were preggers! Hang in there - the last two weeks were not my favorite two weeks...felt like a house, joints as wobbly, baby dropping etc. but well worth the outcome :D Can't wait to see pictures of your new one :D
ReplyDeleteLove this!! Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of you lately, for some reason. I have not seen you post on SCS and it was gnawing at me, so I came to your blog. Lo and behold, I find out you are about to have a baby! Goodness, bless you and yours! It always makes me smile to see something you've made. I needed a smile tonight and I got a big one! Congrats on the wee one... may it all go smooth and quick! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!!! I love the cards. I too have lost track of making and sending cards to where they belong. I am working on that task as we speak.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. You are so right. We spend so much time crafting and not enough time following through. It is a good resolution. I think I will follow in your footsteps and make an effort to share the joy.

Gorgeous card! The colours looks great together.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! I've been thinking about you! Jen had her baby on the 6th, Nicolas Robert (pics on her blog). I thought of an "r" name...it may have been already posted, but I like it so I had to share--"Rhett". Rhett Lunceford sounds very manly and it's a good "football player" name! (That's my measure of a good boy name. I don't have boys, so what do i know?) LOL!! Anyway, I hope you are feeling good...I can't believe it's only 2 more weeks. Take care! sus
