Well friends, it's the 3rd and final day of full reveals for the Merry Makings release from The Greetery and they are just as SWEET as can be! I told Betsy that I've never gotten hungry when looking at a new release before! LOL! All of the new products for today's reveal are OVER THE TOP adorable! Betsy never fails to please (and delight) with her fabulous holiday/Christmas stamps/dies, stencils, and more! You'll want to make sure to head over to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of today's showcased products! I'll have a list of the other designers' blogs at the bottom of today's post!
My first project for today uses a mash-up of a few of the new products and probably should have been left for last, but I just love how it turned out, so I wanted to share it first! I also managed to squeeze a few bits and bobs that were leftover from my other projects onto this card.
The main dies on this card are from the new "Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats" die set. They are BEYOND adorable and I used them to create each of the four cookies as well as the chocolate s'more up in the right hand corner. The candy cane, sugar glitter, chocolate shavings and peppermint disc are all from the embellishment kit that is so OVER-THE-TOP amazing! I used it on quite a few things for today's post, so I will point them out as I've used them. They honestly look like real, edible pieces and frankly, when I was cleaning up, it looked like I'd been eating an assortment of confections during the creative process! ha ha! The packaging for the embellishments is so super sweet, too! Betsy pulled out all of the stops!
The greenery and sprigs were leftover from day 1's Banner and Bough project and the little house was a leftover from the Destination: North Pole project. I have so many cute stamped images that will be perfect to add to tags and things as I continue my holiday crafting!
The tag is stamped using one of the sentiments from the new Hug in a Mug stamp set and is tied up with some red baker's twine. The main sentiment is from the same set and works so perfectly with all of these yummy looking cookies! Holiday baking is one of my favorite things, so this gives me all the feels.
The Crimped Frames Dies were the perfect size to layer up the cookies and embellishments onto using liquid glue. I wanted these cookies so stay put, so I felt glue would be the best bet!
And now....for the sweetest thing EVER!!!....the new Hug in a Mug die and Hug in a Mug saucer!!!!! I can't even!!! This is just the most fun packaging for holiday treats and things! I had a ball making this can can't wait to make more! Both the mug and the saucer are SUPER simple to assemble and the Hug in a Mug stamp set has the cutest images to create custom "china" in many festive designs! I've barely touched the surface with the possibilities! I absolutely LOVE the Barista's touch on the cream image for the top of the cocoa/coffee! The steam is where you "pull" the top off to reveal the treats underneath. I also used the little circle die to add the hole for the "candy stick".
I made a few more cookies and s'mores to accent this little mug. You can see that I had a little more fun with the embellishment kit; the sprinkles on the "marshmallow, the candy cane, and more! They are just the perfect addition to these paper confections.
Are you hungry yet? If not, this next line-up of products might make your stomach start to growl! I'm supposed to be making dinner right now, so my tummy is growling just looking at these realistic looking Graham Cracker Cuts, chocolate bars and mallows! yum!!
I've combined the new "S'more Holiday" stamp and die set with the Graham Cracker Cuts and some of the fabulous Wood Slices from day 1. I made two similar, but slightly different tags. One tag uses the chocolate bar image included in the "S'more Holiday" stamp set and the other tag uses the chocolate bar die cuts from the Hug In a Mug Sweet Treats die set
I used the clear plastic boxes that I use to package up my handmade baby shoes to package up these sweet treats for my boys' teachers. I added a little bit of shred to the bottom, a package of graham crackers, a Hershey's chocolate bar and a cello bag filled with marshmallows. I tied the box up with some thick ribbon and added the tags using red baker's twine.
I made three gifts in total to give to each of their teachers and sent them off to school. I realized AFTER the fact that they hadn't been revealed to you all yet! Woops! One of my boys said how much his teacher loved it and proceeded to show the entire class! Who knew a bunch of 5th graders would get the inside scoop first!?! LOL!
I absolutely LOVE all of the punn-y sentiment included in the set! My cute 4th grader read the tag on the way to school and announced that the sentiment was a pun! I thought that was so cute! The different sentiments make this set good for all year, rather than just the holidays!
I've had so much fun this week and I hope you've enjoyed today's post! Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a gift certificate to the shop! All products go on sale TOMORROW at 10 am ET! Don't forget to head to the other designers' blogs to see how they've used today's products! Thanks for fluttering by!
