SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek Week Day 1

Today is day 1 of the SugarPea Designs June "Sweet Peek Week" for the new release! You'll want to make sure you stop by each day because this release is SO MUCH FUN! I don't know if it was the long winter, the rainy spring or what, but I am so excited for summer! How about you? Today the team is kicking things off with two new stamp sets and an awesome new stencil! Before I dive into the details of these two cards, you'll want to make sure you hop along to the other designers' blogs as well!

***please note: the links for the new products won't go live until Friday when they become available for purchase*** Both of these cards feature the new Meadow Motifs stamp set, which is such a lovely floral set that I know I will be reaching for again and again! For the first card with the yellow flower, I stamped the flower in black ink and then colored it using alcohol markers. This set also has coordinating Meadow Motifs SugarCuts.

For the focal panel of the yellow/blue card, I die cut it using the new Card Front Element Builder II die cut set to give the edges the pierced detail that I love. Once that was done, I used the new Spirograph Mandala Stencil and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to blend ink onto the panel.

Both cards feature sentiments using the new Everyday Sentiments stamp set and the coordinating Sentiment Strips SugarCuts. I heat embossed the white sentiments onto the black cardstock and just stamped the other sentiment in black ink onto the teal paper.

The pink/ blue card uses the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles SugarCuts. I also added some black ink splatter to this card and some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink splatters to the yellow card.
I die cut the YOU SugarCut 3 times and adhered them together using liquid glue. I added it to the card using small pieces of foam to give it some added dimension. These cards were so easy to make, but I love how they turned out! Join us again tomorrow for day 2 of the sneak peeks! Don't forget to leave comments along the way for a chance to win! Thanks for fluttering by!
