Ink to Paper Countdown Day 1 {Best Wishes}

Well friends, the time is here! I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting this day, so on that note, welcome! I'm so happy you've joined me for the first official Ink to Paper Countdown! Today the team is showcasing a few new sets to kick things off, and everything will be available for purchase on the 15th!!! Also, you'll want to follow Ink to Paper on Instagram @inktopapercompany!  Make sure to head to the Ink to Paper Blog! For today's card, I used the images from the new Nature's Background stamp set paired with the new Sentiment Essentials! I really wanted to give these new floral and leaf images a soft look, so I decided that emboss resist would be a fun technique to use to achieve that.

I heat embossed everything in white and then added the ink over the top using a blending sponge. I love how the images spring to life as the ink is added! Once they were all inked up, I used the coordinating Nature's Background die cuts to cut them out. The background panel is cut 4 by 5 1/4 inches out of Lovely Lady cardstock and then I added some ink blending around the edges to create a subtle contrast. I also added some black ink splatter for some extra detail and interest.

 The sentiment is stamped in black and then die cut using the Sentiment Essentials die cuts. I popped it up in the center of the Lovely Lady panel using foam squares. Once that was done, I added the different flowers and leaves that I created earlier.
I added a few sparkling clear sequins for some shine. The entire focal panel is adhered to a standard A2 top folding card base using Tombow Mono adhesive. Thanks for joining me today! Stop by tomorrow for even more inspiration using 3 more new sets! Thanks for fluttering by!

  3. Kelly, love the pink and blue colors on this card. It is so charming, but I have to say that one of my favorite things about the card surprisingly, is the black splatters. Such a small addition but makes a big impression. I will have to keep this in mind in my future card making endeavors. As always, beautiful job.
