Countdown to Confetti-Day 1

It's one of the most wonderful times of the month....Reverse Confetti Release Week! I've had so much fun using all of the new and exciting products and I'm sure you'll fall in love, too! This is one of those releases where you want to just keep playing but you know you have to get going or you'll not finish up before the deadline! LOL! That being said....I will definitely be sharing lots more ideas in the coming days and weeks, so make sure to stay tuned!

First up for today is this beautiful new set called Elegant Florals! I absolutely love sets like this because of the versatility....there are solid and lined images depending on what you're in the mood for! I have two samples using this set with both solid and lined images. Also, the team ALWAYS has amazing projects that showcase the set to its fullest so make sure to stop by each of their blogs to see what they have created! Also, before I get too carried away, there are always prizes up for grabs....a $25 gift certificate to one blog commenter and a $25 gift certificate to one Facebook commenter. The Blog link is listed below and this is the link to the Facebook page: Reverse Confetti Facebook page

My first design uses the solid images and I just love all of the dimension you can get when you stack the smaller floral cluster on top of the larger floral spray! I stamped each of these images twice using Piggy Bank Ink. Once that was done, I used the coordinating Elegant Florals Confetti Cuts to cut them out.

I used foam squares to pop them up onto the Midnight piece that is die cut using the Diamond Stripe Panel. I just love pink, black, and white together! The sentiment, which is from the new sentiment set called "The Most Beauty",is heat embossed in gold onto a black square that I cut just smaller than the opening of the frame. This is also popped up using foam squares. I have a project for the New Release Blog Hop happening on the 8th that showcases ALL of these sentiments, so stay tuned!

The black frame is layered onto a piece of Premier Polar White cardstock. If you haven't ever tried this paper, I urge you to do so! It is the BEST cardstock I have EVER found for creating card bases. It is SOOOO deliciously thick and sturdy, you will fall in love!

This entire piece is then matted with foam squares onto an A2 Piggy Bank cardbase. I also added some gems here and there to enhance the elegant feel of the card.

Here is a little detail shot of the dimension of the flowers as well as the shine of the heat embossing.

As you can see, my second card for today is almost identical, but with a few small changes. To begin, I die cut four of the Diamon Stripe Frame and glued them together using liquid glue. Once they were dry, I pressed the entire piece into a Versamark inkpad and then sprinkled it with gold embossing powder. I heat set it until it was smooth and melted.

I had originally planned on using gold metallic paper, but when I couldn't find it, I knew that I could use this technique to achieve beautiful results! What do you think?

For this design, I swapped out the solid floral images and decided to do some Copic coloring on the lined images for a different feel.

This card is layered up onto a Mist panel. It is one of my favorite colors!

The sentiment is also from "The Most Beauty" and it is stamped in black onto a white square. This particular card was actually inspired by a Bath and Body Works candle that my sister gave to me for Mother's Day and I see it next to my bed. I like both versions of my card that I made today and I hope that I have shown you the versatility of this set! Thanks for fluttering by!
