Door Prize AND BLOG CANDY!!!

One of my favorite things is to make the doorprize for my Stamp Club. They will all be coming over tonight for some fun Easter projects. I really wanted to showcase some of the new things in the Occasions Mini Catalog from SU!, so I chose to use the "Tart and Tangy" stamp set and the Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper. I didn't order the rub-ons that coordinate, so I used some from the SAB rub-pn set. I absolutely love these images. They were so fun to ink up! I felt like it was my first time stamping. As I have mentioned before, I always sand the rubber on my bold image stamps with one of the SU! sanding blocks. I did that on these and the images came out so well. The box measures 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 and holds (4) 3 by 3 notecards with coordinating envelopes. I used each one of the images from the "Tart and Tangy" set. On the outside, I used one of the ribbon slides that are available in the new Hodge Podge Hardware assortment called Stylized Silver. Can I just say that I am in love? I had a lot of fun making this set. I hope my ladies like it, although it can only go to one lucky winner!!!
YOU CAN BE A WINNER, TOO! SIMPLY LEAVE A COMMENT ON WHAT YOUR FAVORITE STAMPING TOOL IS AND WHY AND YOU COULD WIN THE SAME PRIZE!!!!!!! I WILL BE DRAWING A NAME NEXT TUESDAY AND THROWING IN A SURPISE AS WELL!!!!!

  2. This is so fresh and pretty! I love this new set and decorator paper, and cannot wait to order it tomorrow at a workshop!

I would have to say that my paper cutter is my most valuable tool. I have a guillotine-type cutter, and it's just great! I wore one out and just bought a Tonic cutter, and I am loving it!

  4. These are so cute! And what a great tip about sanding your solid stamps, I'm going to have to try that! I love so many tools it's hard to pick just one, but I'll say my SU mat pack, I go to it for paper piercing and setting brads again and again!

  5. I'm so glad I found your blog over at SCS - I can't wait to explore more of it! This door prize is SO CUTE!! I am calling my SU Demo today to order this set. My fav tools right now are Blender Pens & Sponge Daubers. I was ready to give away my Stampin Pastels before I tried the BPs, but they are so easy to use now for a soft watercolor effect or for really saturated color. And I just LOVE the way the daubers can totally change the feel of a card by softening it, giving a time-worn look, or just adding a much-needed pop of color or shadow. I can't wait to explore more of your blog. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and your candy! - Susan :-)

  16. Love your Tart & Tangy box and cards. Thanks for sharing with us. I have to say my favorite tool is the Perfect Layers tool...and SU has discontinued it. Only place I can find it is on QVC. It is a great help for not-so-perfect paper trimmers.

  17. What a cute card! You have a great blog and awesome gallery on SCS. My favorite tool--so hard to pick just one--but I think I use my embossing gun almost every time I stamp. If not to emboss then to heat set images--I can be rather impatient with drying time--LOL. Thanks for the blog candy opp. Darlene

  19. Such a pretty door prize! It's hard to pick just one favorite tool. But I suppose my all time favorite is my heavy, ancient, dinosaur of a paper cutter (guillotine style)that I have. I think it's older than I am. That thing cuts through anything.
